Hey guys, a mate of mine is looking at buying this car.

Looks like alot of work done for the price he's asking.

Has anyone seen it around or anything?

Thanks

price for 32 4 doors is complete shit though man

i was lucky to get what i got for my car 2 years ago

id say its just a little cheaper than what it should be, but if its been on market for a while and he just wants to get rid of it he dropped the price

must remember a lot more people prefer coupes over 4 doors, so even if it has the 26 the look is what a lot of people go by too, which makes selling hard

Ok sorry I'm sure there are bargains on there

But generally I've your looking for a decent import, the cheap ones willmore than likely have problems,

Why would you list an r33 that could fetch $8000 on carsales when it will only end for $6000 at the moat on ebay

I know the seller, his old man used to import cars (may still)

Good kid and sister is regular on forum who has sold lots of skylines. DNGRUS

He prob offered other guy low price and is out to make quick couple grand. Not giving too much personal stuff away but he has resources that will help him get cars on road cheap and easy. RWC/compliance/engineers certificates

Nothing bad to say about seller at all. Not bias just had good experience dealing with them

Been there 4 times,

S13 lost $1000 in 8 months

R33 lost $4k in 6months on it

R32 lost $1500 in 2 months

R32 broke even. but that's not counting how much money i spent on it

Of course not but you'd expect it to go for around $6000-$7000 if it had an rb20 so with an rb26 done properly i would expect a little over $10k

it doesnt matter what mods youve done to it, if its a 20 yo car, with a new engine, its still a 20 yo car.. its worth as much as any other 4 door gts4.. it comes down to sentimental value, which any buyer couldnt give a fk about

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
