went into my local Nissan today and got some parts when i noticed a new poster. "nissan skyline and GTR history", asked if it was for sale and it was. They said each Nissan dealership received only 10-20 of these posters and are a very limited run, only one per customer. part number is NI-LSN020 and cost $13.63 at trade price. its pretty large at 600x750mm ish.

Just thought id share it with other skyline enthusiasts

SAU VIC member Birds, gave me one.

The poster skipped a few R34 GTR's.

They could have put in the base model or V-Spec / V-Spec II or N1 or Nur, either one would have been good.

Having said that, it's a good poster.

untill some asian gets his hands on them and BAM! there come the counterfits by the thousands :D

but i want one.... looks cool

Excuse me; but I'm Asian and I certainly would not dare printing off more than 200 > getting them signed by our speakers on Legends Night > numbering each one and selling off 199 whilst "yours truly" keeps #1/200.

That's all I would do! :)

haha, well thats more than fair since you are the re-producer of the poster, you deserve the 1/200 copy signed by everyone. but only if you charge $27.26 per poster as they will be extremely limited edition right? :P

also make sure that you dont get caught for copyright and change the car colors to pink and brown, also call them nisan Skilynes haha

now i feel racist.........or might just be be

OK.

The Posters are sensational!

In Sydney, they don't know what to charge because the Part# NI-LSN020 hasn't come up on the system yet (even though trade price is $13.65 each).

So...

Kirrawee Nissan = $15/poster

Steve Jarvin Nissan Concord = $10/poster @ 2 per person limit

Robinson Nissan Rockdale = $5/poster @ 2 per person limit

Even though I'm Asian, I thought it was too cruel to haggle :P

They also come in the Nissan trade parts magazine "Perfect Fit" which is where I got mine from. They do get folded up to fit in the mag though.. But I had mine laminated, Only cost $10 which I think is dirt cheap, and looks spot on.

where there is a idea there is a way to make money from it.. (not that I agree with it as those are probably copies.)

To be honest, I doubt they are copies but more likely some dude who either has access to these or has gone out of his way to buy as many as he can.

I do agree with you though, some people just can't help themselves. Others would say it's only a rort if your not involved! :P

Bob.

so you can't really see the folds anymore?

    • I'm actually not sure - I think it was "Stealth Performance" (It really is near impossible to find a FEMALE 1/8BSPT to 1/8NPT male at ALL) but having the thing leveraged on a 90 degree angle on a small aluminium fitting is not too smart. Also in not too smart, I've drilled out the center of the broken fitting so there's maybe 0.00001mm of thread to bite into, so yeah. I may have to get it drilled/tapped/plugged entirely. Given I could conceivably tap a thread/adapter/pressure line in any point in the oil system I suppose it's feasible to run a line to the Nissan Sensor to keep the dash working. Do these exist in AN fittings and the like? Like an AN fitting that has a NPT (or other?) thread as well for putting a sensor in?
    • I would agree.  There will be an amount of boost you could run safely with an otherwise factory system, but it would be low enough to not be worth the cost.  And if you are reliving your 20s, you know a 'little bit' was never enough. Personally, if I didn't want to spend the money, then stick with NA bolt-ons, and maybe a tune.
    • Fuark, at least the motor survived. What brand was the fitting that snapped?
    • Wrong question. There's no point in spending the rather large sum of cash and effort to add turbo, without taking it to the "sensible" limit of the motor itself. If you have to upgrade injectors, etc, then so be it. That is a tiny fraction of what it will cost you to turbo it.
    • Measure voltage at the starter solenoid terminal when the key is at start and it has clicked. If it is really low, then the suspicion falls on the ignition switch (contacts or wiring thereof) as causing a voltage drop instead of sending enough volts to throw the solenoid all the way to engage the starter itself. If it is a decent voltage, then the suspicion is on the solenoid. Might have s horted coil, or might hva dirty contacts. Rip the starter off, dismantle, clean up contacts and inspect winding. It might not be possible to see if there is a short in the winding though. I have a spare starter here that I could measure the resistance of the coil, as a guide to about what it should be, if you need a comparison. <parts hoarder>No you cannot have it.</parts hoarder>
