That was a great idea Steve, I'll try to drag don along next time. Had a lot of fun and to finish close to Eric's GTR is a good result for the humble FC. Thanks Eric for the run, and rerun when i changed back to normal wheels. Battling is way better on rubber with tread :teehee:

Yeah Chris, I originally wasn't going to run my car at all. But, the slightest twist of the arm and well GD2ILA was itching to have a small strech of the legs.

Was good fun! I have some video that Matt was kind enough to film too so will put that up soon.

A little more awake now.

Thanks to officials for their time and efforts. Thanks to Reece for jumping in the car to give to me pointers, I may have seemed very confused but your tips through the day made a big difference. Slower is faster but it's hard to resist the temptation to make the tyres scream. cheers.gif

Did anyone get a shots or a video of my Stag going around? Would love to see it doing it's thing, hopeful of the one hand break turn that was right.( out of many attempts ) thanks.gif

For a first timer everybody made me very welcome. Anybody sitting on the sideline worrying about being a novice or breaking your car - don't be, it's all at your own pace. As for breaking your car - refer back to previous comment re slower/faster. thumbsup.gif

I now just need to sort a new clutch before the next one so I can do those 6k launches . nyaanyaa.gif

and yes this thread needs more photos and videos.

You did great! And I think another point to make is that you drove home on the tyres you came with... so anyone thinking it's an expensive day out cos you need 11ty sets of tyres (as previous pictures would have you believe :P ), it doesn't have to be!

    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
