So I take it the workshop doors be open on Monday? If they are and I'm not too rooted from the weekend, I'll grab the trailer and make a trip up to yours for the bumper etc to get it out of your way.

Back into it this week and a GTR recevied some enduro preparation.

Front and rear diff coolers

Transfer case cooler and a cooler for the seq hollinger.

The coolers all have air guides to prevent damage and to force air towards the core.

Weve used top shelf tilton pumps and they are being controller by independant temp switches in each diff etc.

The car also got a rather large fuel cell and fuel system revamp with a dry break filler and tank venting for fast fills and 0 fuel spilling.

Photos of the tank latter once the boot is finished off.

Next week have the insight motorsports S2000 to re cage and an EVO 7 in for a mild steel cage.

On average a basic half starts at $660 and can go up to $1300.

A full cage starts at $2400 and can go a high as you like.

Most full cages people opt for a few extra bars over a basic cage and they end up spending around $3000.

The majority of half cages end up around the $990 mark once you add things like harness bar, double diagonals etc.

Just a quick mention for a heap of people who have pm'er and emailed.

I'm closing off orders this coming Friday the 16th.

Orders placed and paid for before Friday will be completed on time. For a week or two after the 16th I wot be taking orders.

We are planning a renovation of the workshop to further increase the fabrication equipment we can fit on the ground level. New mezzanine floor is being put up to store the supercars on which will double floor space for fab work.

Expected down time will be 7-10 days but for guys who are needing sumps and other components urgently get in this week.

I was actually looking at a photo of the "big bannana" in coffs harbor just before.

The nanna is ever so slightly larger than the Vw kombi,

That friggin trailer is way larger than the kombi. there is a new bigger banana, we just need merchandise now!!

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
