Brad,

I have held off on posting, but I need to post at this time. I hope to receive a response.

Please provide me with an update of your proposed soloution to handle the "Returned undercarrariage BCNR33 GT-R fuel surge tank", "damaged BCNR33 GT-R combo blowby/washer tank" and "two missing filters for BCNR33 GT-R combo blowby/washer tanks".

Respectfully,

David

okay, in addition to my post from the 10th of November, I have sent Brad an email too. will see on a response

Ive read this thread and cant hold back.

You guys are suckers.

Is it because your lazy, or too afraid to DIY?

Go buy yourself a welder, costs less than what your spending with this loser.

Buy something useful and keep it.

But in your build list there are clearly parts that you BOUGHT! :O

Shouldn't you have set up a factory with multi-axis milling machines, lathes, chroming and anodising facilities and made you OWN coilovers and suspension arms?

I put it to you; that YOU are the sucker.

It may also come as a surprise to know that most people can't knock up a CAMS approved rollcage in their garage, and I'd bet dollars to donuts; neither can you.

But you keep on insulting people that supported a local business...

Some jobs are better left to the professions rather than an amateur with a $300 welder...

Hey leave the guy alone.

He's got a welder, compressor, rattle gun, torque wrench, compression tester and jump pack. It's a fully kitted race fab / workshop.

Having made that dig, there are a lot of jobs you can do yourself with decent tools and a bit of nous (although some people should never be let within 10m of a spanner). Most important thing is to know (and acknowledge) your limits.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
