We had a very productive committee meeting during the week. So get along to this EGM and hear what we have to say and bloody comment, we can only run events that we think you like. If you don't speak up we will never know what you are looking for!

Hi Guys,

It is with great regret that I am announcing I will not be running for Treasurer for 2012

As such I cannot accept any nominations for 2012.

I have a new baby due any day, and with work commitments ramping up to unprecedented levels, I simply

dont have the time to commit to SAU VIC as required.

I am hoping this is only a short term problem, and I intend to run for treasurer in future years as I love this club and

want to be apart of it.

It was a very difficult decision, however I am leaving this club in the best financial situation in its history; a fact I am very proud of.

I wish the club all the best in the future and if i can give any advice, I am only a phone call away.

Ross

Sad to see you go Rossco! Thanks for the awesome job you've done over the years and I hope to see you on committee again in the future. Congrats on the tike.

In the meantime, I nominate Tony (blah_blah) for treasurer!

:P

Sorry to hear Ross :(

Thanks for the nomination Birds

Think I would have to talk to Ross first to see what sort of time commitment is involved as I think over the next year I may be planning a wedding :/

Damn you Birds, I was just about to ring Tony as ask him!

Just to remind people, we actually need people to turn up and vote else the club stays in limbo. So come along to garage cafe on Wednesday.

Thanks for all the time you have put into this club Rosco!

you have always done an amazing job and leave big shoes to fill!

Good luck to you with the new arrival~!

Unfortunately, due to time commitments outside of work this coming year I don't think I would be able to fulfil the role of what is required as a 'Treasurer'. And I would not want to take up the position unless I knew I would be able to commit myself 100%.

I would be more than happy to help out the club in ways such as preparing the financials reports and any related duties as I could simply do that at work.

If there is a position for that than let me know, otherwise good luck to whoever else is in the running for Treasurer

Rossco :(

Although it makes me sad you are leaving, Im also very happy for you with all the exciting things you've got going on at home this coming year!!

You have done an outstanding job running the financials of this club over the last (I wanna say) 4 years. I know you have certainly made my life very easy while you've been around.

You are a true professional and very very good at what you do - you should be proud of the impact you have had on the club. A big hole will be left in your position. Best of luck with eveything coming up!! :)

I dont see how this cant be done - Job share kind of thing, you do the important number cruncher stuff and someone trustworthy works along side you as like an admin person - handling any payments, invoicing etc that needs to be done that is extra?

can someone (Birds?) please bring an SAU jumper for Missy on Wed? How much are they anyway, might get another one..

Cheers :)

Kaz

Should be able to, I have to check what sizes I have left.

i think that the club is being run by a great committee and as such vote as per the nominations.

President

John Richardson

Vice President

Martin Sullivan

Secretary

Dan Hall

I'm sure that whatever is decided about the treasurer will be agreeable as well.

    • The title should have posted "EFR7670 exhaust housing selection RB26" I can seem to edit thr title on my Android.
    • I'm looking for some real world experiences/feed back from anyone who has personally ran a EFR7670 with a 1.05 exhaust housing or a .83 I'm leaning towards the .83 because its a street car used mostly for spirited driving in the canyons roads. I"m not looking for big numbers on paper. I want a responsive powerband that will be very linear to 8000 rpm. I dont mind if power remains somewhat flat but dont want power to drop off on top. The turbo I've purchased is a 1.05, although the mounting flange T3 vs T4 and internal vs external waste gates are different on both housings, I not concern about swapping parts or making fabrication mods to get what I want. Based on some of the research I've done with chat gpt, the 1.05 housing seems to be the way to go with slightly more lag and future proofing for more mods but recommends .83 for best response/street car setup. AI doesn't have the same emotions as real people driving a GTR so I think you guys will be able to give me better feed back 😀
    • Surely somebody has one in VIC. Have you asked at any shops?  Is this the yearly inspection or did you get a canary?
    • This is where I share pain with you, @Duncan. The move to change so many cooling system pieces to plastic is a killer! Plastic end tanks and a few plastic hose flanges on my car's fail after so little time.  Curious about the need for a bigger rad, is that just for long sessions in the summer or because the car generally needs more cooling?
    • So, that is it! It is a pretty expensive process with the ATF costing 50-100 per 5 litres, and a mechanic will probably charge plenty because they don't want to do it. Still, considering how dirty my fluid was at 120,000klm I think it would be worth doing more like every 80,000 to keep the trans happy, they are very expensive to replace. The job is not that hard if you have the specialist tools so you can save a bit of money and do it yourself!
