So the story i goes i started off in my apprentice years reading through HPI mags and AUTOSALON, sifting through the pages and becoming a sucker for the GT-R.

However at the age of 18 there was no way i could afford it, so i put all my hard earned on a Gts-t instead. Which was my pride and joy for two years, started off completely stock then added mild mods featuring

coilovers

blitz boost controller

hks front mount

x force full system

carbon boot and bonnet and some enkei rims

Bride brix II

OS Giken clutch

how it started

end result

now i look back on it there are many things i wouldnt have done. After this i jumped over to the dark side, purchasing a then new 08 6.2L V8 6 speed manual VE maloo. have had the car for two years and now puts out 487hp at the rears

a nice car to drive and very torquey but something was missing. I searched through carsales looking for something at a decent price and a good base to start with.

then i found this!!

97 series 3 with re55s semi's, some hks pods, cat back exhaust and nismo suspension.

from here my bank balance took a dive as the idea's built up

thanks guys, i agree with you about the GTST. Which is why i said i wouldnt have done certain things if i could go back. Also as of yesterday i just got my standard bonnet back as it was given to me in a pretty bad state!!

from there it went straight to C-Red tuning in Perth to receive some goodness

BOSCH 670cc injectors

along with these i got a APEXI N1 cat back, power fc was first originally used but had problems running the injectors...... so i swapped over to a HALTECH plug and play and that fixed it

so from here the car went on to make 390.7hp atw on 95 octane. As im from the pilbara, thats all we have so far. But plenty left in it when we do get it in a couple years... even though we pay $168.7 just for 95 already...... thats a different story.

from here i went on to replace my rims. Supposedly the rims on there were TE37's....

after a couple of weeks wait, i got my hands on these babies!!

these have transformed the way the car looks at night and couldnt be happier. They use standar nissan lights, so fitment is not a problem!!

cheers guys, i ordered them through streeter. In saying that Marcus was a great help!! They really are worth every coin.

i ordered them with black LED board. You get three options, this is what the black looks like

IMG_1026.jpg

your not wrong, the white and the crystal options are way too ricer imo. Silver BCNR's ftw thumbsup.gif

updates*

ordered some freshen up parts for interior and exterior from rhdjapan.... just waiting on shipment

standard bonnet got a respray

cant wait to see how it turns out. Sick of seeing that faded yellow tinge on the dash cluster

Agreed there  The rims are a very nice contrast to the KR4 silver, ties in really well. I really need to pull my finger out and buy some series 3 xenon lights since mine got swapped out at compliance

Great list of mods so far to

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
