Hi Everyone,

Im looking at importing a r32 GTR (struggling to find what I want available privately).

Currently I have 3 importers Im considering going through and was just wanting peoples opinion or info if they have dealt with them.

1. Top Secret - Pretty much heard great info about them, but they are out in Blacktown and im near Menai (not that it is a real issue)

2. Xtreme Motorsports (along Parra Rd) - Spoke to one of the guys there on Sunday and got a pretty good vibe.

3. Just Jap - Spoke to the guys at Pulse Racing, who worked on my gtst, they recommended them (10min from home) for their imports.

Top Secret I keep reading good reviews, Xtreme Motorsports I could find a little bit about them, and Just Jap I could not find any opinions when it came to their imports.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

one of my mates said that Nagoya Motors (along Princes Highway) is pretty good too!!! they specialise in Skylines and are happy to import for you... not too pricey either!!! Xtreme Motorsports are pretty good too... they usually have pretty sweet cars in there.... the owner, Joe, LOVES his GTRs too!!!!!!

Iron chef imports +10

Got us our 'family' car and we're in QLD.

He can be a bit slow with emails but it happens when you have 10million dipsh*ts a day wanting to buy but don't have the cash in hand.

Get your money ready and suit up for the ride!

All of the above can do a good job exporting your car to Oz.

1 Top Secret are very good in their communications through Jack and Garry. They run track days for their clients + they have a backup service dept.

2 Xtreme will attempt for sure that your car gets a trouble free ride through Joe

3 Just Jap may not turn over as many cars as above, since Steve imports lots of half cuts for spares, but there's no complaint from Kim who got a R34 GTR N1 through them. And Paul at Pulse Racing will only make that recommendation with you in mind. Afterwards, JJ will also give you a good discount on spares.

4 Nagoya through Alex will certainly look after your needs with good communication.

5 Iron Chef has good efficient spotters in Japan who'll only give a tick on a good car. The freight contact is cheaper than some others but does take great care. And Kristian ensures that your car gets smooth compliancing here in Sydney through Todd at JapLink Haberfield. There's a backup service dept there too with RB specialist Kazu. My last two GTRs have come this way.

steer clear of 'brad bottchers used cars' in Maryborough Brisbane. Had a god -aweful experiance with buying my first GTR off him. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Whoa!!!

Long way from Sydney too!!!

LOL

^^ Haha I noticed that

Thanks everyone, you have all helped a little by telling me they are all good + iron chef... Although didnt really narrow my selection.

Now its time to bite the bullet and make some calls I think

I've taken on a kitchen hand to handle all those kinds of emails now lol - and yes, 70-80 emails a day (not including a similar number of spam emails...). And of course, when you do the right thing and answer emails, THEY ASK MORE QUESTIONS!! Haha

I bought my car through Just Jap, great to deal with and will always remember you and ask how the car is going

Like Terry said Paul at Pulse Racing (also my tuner) will only recommend someone he would use and can do the job

Great, thanks guys.

Just Jap seemed good when I was there, the guy I spoke to pretty sure was Steve, definitely a huge fan of his GTRs ... except he was suggesting I consider an evo as a daily as oppose to a GTR (Although I still want a GTR).

Justin. Yeah itd be good to know how it all goes for you.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
