Spotted a Red Stagea at the BP down on South rd Next to Maccas

Was washing his car...

Frount Mount, and Zorst, looked really nice, must of just been complied cos it had X plates

Had stockie 32 rims too

That was me, on the way to A.I.R. to try it down the 1/4 mile for a bit of a laugh. I ended up racing a Subaru Legacy GT. I managed a 15.0, the Subaru with similar mods ran a 15.5

:)

I was with my mate in his G/F's Pink Civic hahahaha

I was gonna come up and have a chat with ya but yeah, didn't wanna bother ya.

NICE CAR BY THE WAY!

OUCH - I thought a Stagea with any kind of mods would be plenty faster than that!

Mine is only an RS Four with an RB25 and it weighs about 250kg more then a R33 Skyline. The Autech 260RS has an RB26 and run about a 13.5 second quarter.

I ran mine at 10psi, and only managed a 60 foot time of 2.29 and 91.36 mph top speed.

Thanks mate, they make a good family car. I saw you looking at the car, I thought you were Victorians as you had vic plates on the Civic. Anyway, should've come over for a chat.

Cheers

yeah I agree, but it is a unique atmosphere.

We are going to Lenzerheide next month for a mid-year dinner for my wife's work with open menu and open bar :( .... double serve of Morton Bay Bugs coming up for me :)

We went to The Blanc the other week and damn that was nice - you should check it out one night - absolutely 5-star service and food! Not 5-star, but quite possibly the best Chinese food you will find in Adelaide is Citi Zen - we are going there next week and my mouth is already watering at the thought of the Peking Duck!!!

Like you say, it is a different thing at the Red Sea, but is well worth the experience.

dude try the crispy duck with pancakes mmmmmmmmm to die for at citi zen

saw an r34 on waymouth st in the city on friday 6th May, with no wing, mmmm very nice. Think the number plate was R34!

Yeah that would be one of the members from SA, well his former car...

Has been sold now to a new female owner...

Really cool chick!

AWESOME CAR!

there was a white one with white deep dish rims that looked crazy on the track

And that would be Mark's car (moo_r32), very nice clean car, and good drifter... Well i havn't seen him on the track as yet hehe

spotted a JZX100 chaser tonight

white with TRD bodykit, 18" chrome deep dish, big exhaust

with premium plate - CCxxxx

very nice car!

have a bit of fun with him and a holden GTO

pretty even 1-3 gear and 1/2 car ahead him at 4

while the GTO is 3 car lengh behind us :)

Was in town not long ago and spotted a shiny ass literally sparkling black r33. Turned out to be sam's. Damn, is your car always that clean and shiny. I dont think you spotted me as i was in my old man's car even though i was waving uncontrollably. =D

Cant remember the name of st but you were on the road between the BP in town and the BMW dealer.

I occassionally spot Andrew as well when im heading towards magill/norwood on st bernards rd - i think its called. but im always going in the opposite direction. You car looks so stealth and low, i love it.

yep I have photos of it - I wish I could make a mould ..... mind you, I might be selling my car soon(ish) .... thinking of getting an R34 GTT - I am so sick of the little luxuries my car doesn't have, like climate control, remote boot release, traction control. Don't flame me, but I am seriously considering tiptronic auto (which I would get strenthened and add a high-stall to, of course).

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
