There's also a ripper Asian foodcourt in Haymarket - Dixon House Food Court. Cheap and dirty food, but tastes sensational. There is one place in particular (I think it's a 'sizzling plate restaurant' or something like that) that gives mountainous portions - but be warned: they make their food HOT with a capital F!

We go here when we're in town for noodlesoups! There's one place that does a mean roasted pork noodlesoup!!

Hello niZmO person LOL

yeah I go there sometimes, but I miss the dirty ling long food at dixon, hunter, chinatown etc.. I do sometimes trek to haymarket for a dirty feed.

El Loco is pretty hipster too

$9 for a hotdog is a bit much, but it's not bad once a month. I work at Ultimo, so Essen is close by :D

Way to far to go for lunch.

Just came back from Crocodile Thai, that place hasn't disappointed yet. Decent prices as well.

should hit up Petaling Street a few stops down, awesome Malaysian food, without the Mamak prices & line.

Unfortunately I didn't see any croc on the menu :(

Maybe we should start a restaurant called, IF YOU DARE where the menu consists of

* Fugu

* Croc

* Gator

* Bull's Balls

* Pig's Trotters

* Ox Tail

* Locust in Chocolate for dessert etc

Man i eat half of that stuff with no fuss anyway - though i have not found gator on the menu around here - I ask some weird stuff in Thailand too, i didn't want to ask what it was... I just chewed and swallowed

cops trotters are the best, - The only thing i wont do is live bugs and fried spiders

a lot of this stuff is so heavily flavored/spiced you cant taste it anyway - good reason for it too :)

Ravi, have you tried "In The Mood For Thai" on the corner of Horwood Place and George Street, diagonally opposite the Roxy? I quite like it there.

Try Spice - the small place across the road from here. I think In the Mood is a bit "Thai by numbers"; Spice is good but not great (well compared to some of the places I like - Thai Potong & Spice I Am; I really like the shitty Surry Hills one if you can put up with the noise and don't want the ambiance of the others)

Place I LOVE in Parramatta is Temasek - best Nasi Goreng I've tasted anywhere in the world

Japanese: Belive it or not I find the best Japanese place is downstairs in Castle Towers, not sure what it's called but it is the one between Subway and the kebab shop. Apparently Eastwood is great for Jap and korean but I haven't tried them yet.

It's called ASAGO, for a second I thought you were talking about Midori next to Donut King.

Anyways I ate at InFlames Chicken in Castle Hill on the weekend and to be honest it's very over priced compared to anywhere in Granville or Auburn.

If anyone is looking for cheap good lebanese food, Jasmin in Auburn is probably best meal for your dollar. $17 for a mixed that that I assure you will be hard to finish!!!

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
