Hi, pretty new to sau, but always keen to try all types of food.

Anyway, here's my current top list:

Bodega in surry hills- great Argentinian tapas style food. Flavours work well. $70 for 10 course tapas, dessert and wine. Need to book in advance.

Penrith bbq chicken- one of the best grilled chickens ive ever had. I had it served on a bed of jasmine rice and garlic sauce. It was moist and flavoursome, not dry like el jannahs. The best post workout meal!

Penrith seafood wetherill park- salmon sashimi. It's just very fresh and cut into nicely balanced bite size portions. Hard to explain, but it feels like you have the right amount of fish in your mouth which you can then chase with their seaweed salad and rice.

^ have you tried HC Hawa, down the road from El Jannahs? Their chicken is nicer!

Really? i'll have to give it a go some time

I had some food from Penrith Seafood in Wetherill Park, well worth the money.

Right on!

What are some exotic things you guys have eaten?

My trip to Thailand was the first time I've tried crickets and grubs from a street vendor. Tasted ok. It was heavily coated in some stir fry flavours. Couple days later i got sick from eating normal food. go figure lol

Also had fried Tarantula in Cambodia while touring and visiting family. It was pretty much like soft shell crab. yumm

Offal is nothing new to me. Pretty much a staple part of my diet lol

I haven't managed to go through the whole thread but;

Indonesian: Ayam Goreng 99... Must have... 10/10...

taste and all is good, but in terms of value, not the best. quite a small plate of fried noodles.

The fiancee and I went there earlier this year. How random that an SAUer owns the place! We had the lamb rack of ribs and a side dish (can't remember what it was) and absolutely loved the food. A definite thumbs up.

Going to put a new item on your next Menu called, "GTR"?

Stands for Grand Terranean Ribs!

We'll be attracted to that! :)

Burgerfuel for those who have been to or from New Zealand will know how awesome it is. It's in newtown.

Top tip: don't wear white and get plenty of napkins.

Also killa burger is pretty awesome. Various scattered all over Sydney.

Ok, so I went to Momof*ku Seiobo last night with the missus at The Star Casino.

I got the 11 course degustation with half paired wine. The missus got the full juice pairing. Both matched well to our cuisine.

Their menu changes daily, but the standouts were:

Steamed pork bun with sriracha chilli- very soft and airy bun with a decadent piece of pork and hoi sin sauce

Wagyu beef with raddish- nicely cooked with a salted black bean sauce to coat all over

Blood sausage with roasted mushroom- Bloody excellent play on flavours here (pun intended) with a flavoursome sauce

I forget the rest. If you can justify the $185 per head plus $65 half paired wine, then its a goer.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
