It's almost time... panels looks good. :D

Im still waiting to see what the carbon intercooler surround looks like fitted up!!!

Only cause i want one haha.

Looking great mate!!

Thanks again, didn't end up using shroud man

Nuts! Looks so good! Where did you get the carbon exhaust guard mate?

Cheers mate. I got it off a member on here ages ago

Im at my desk furiously beating off to this.

Amazing

Hahaha

It's incredible to look at the underside of a car & think; "Crikey; those tyres sure are dirty!"

Amazing work, absolutely in awe of your patience & dedication. :worship:

Thank you Dale. She is definitely a labour of love and has given me plenty of grey hairs over the last 18 months! I just kept telling myself 'NEVER GIVE UP'. After all I have been dreaming of doing this since my first ride in a BNR32 over 10 years ago now!

The best ive ever seen, fantastic effort!

Cheers Matt. Wait until you see it in the flesh....

Still plenty of little things to finish off but she is getting very close. Finishing it off has been tough as I now spent most of my time doing this when I am in the shed

Hi Robbie, Gareth here....finally caught up with this thread.....have been rationing it for soooo long now not wanting to catch up and be able to view on demand........like i told you on the phone, sensational build, I have enjoyed it immensely, I know what people mean when they talk about not wanting to subject it to the aussie roads though, i just went for a 1500km mini-holiday in my 32 up in the victorian alps, some of the roads are in appalling condition, impossible to enjoy the drive when your too busy dodging pot holes and lumps in the road! If my car was in the mint condition yours is now in i would probably have cried on several occasions, as it's not i was only moderately cringing/pissed off when i couldn't dodge something...

can't wait to see it completed, not long to go...keep up the good work!

Hey man.

Can u give us some details on that toe hook u got on the front?

Is it a custom thing? Or kit? What's it bolt up too?

Any pics?

Looks like one of these:

Amazing work mate - looks sensational.

Quality of finish is better than factory!

Couple of queries....?

No dust boots on the dampers?

Did you consider powder coating instead of paint? Especially the larger items like sub frames and the like that a a major pita to take out to repaint when the inevitable stone chips occur. Powder coat - when prepared properly, would give a much more resilient finish.

Look forward to a similar level of OCD on the interior!

Looks superb Robbie..........just absolutely mint superb!

U have to be excited because I know I am :)

Thanks again mate. Yep getting excited to finally see everything come together and get see final result

I just had to change pants....

Classic haha

Me too. That looks amazing. I'm speechless.

Cheers mate, prepare yourself

Now when do we get a vid of this baby purrring? :D

Thanks Clive, I was going for that, she is my interpretation of the ultimate GT-R.

Good points, Bilstein didn't supply any boots...has anyone fitted some??

Powder coat never looked into but yeah good thinking. No idea what it would to do subframes....will wait and see how paint holds up

That looks so awesome mate! I hope i can see videos from the car in action? :-)

Best regards from germany!

Thanks again Kevin, will be a while before videos of her in action, you can't rush perfection haha

Bloody brilliant build mate, it's been a pleasure to read. Keep up the excellent work!

Great to hear thanks Abz, appreciate the feedback mate. Not long to go now, will do. Cheers

    • That's not a transistor --- it's marked ZD1 which makes it a zener diode. As to what the breakdown voltage is, not enough there to divine.
    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.

    • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
