Bnr32 - Once In A Lifetime Build All Gt-R Owners Must See

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been eyeing this forum as guest for a while.

Until I stumbled upon your build in this thread, I am gaining a LOT of information, and made me register to SAU especially to say congratulations on your build. It is really high class and indeed a must-see for all GTR owners.

Cheers and keep them coming.

Regards,

omDidit

that sound is so clean, such a smooth note, this 32 redefines what a super car really should be, not a ridiculously expensive prima donna, but more a true almost indestructible super hero, clark kent when your doing the shopping and superman when you need to move faster then a speeding locomotive

i followed the the build thread from the beginning and was pumped to see a live action vid, the comment came because about a week before a mate bought a euro sports car and we took it for a thrash in the adelaide hills and a check engine light came on and the car started running like a bag of diseased dicks.

prompting me to ridicule him endlessly as once upon a time i owned a 32 GTR but it was nowhere near your work of art, and i remarked how a true supercar should do everything a car does + some of what a supercar can do.

If i am ever in brissy will drop you a line, planning to move to the big QLD within the next 16 months so the burn will probably consist of me trying to keep up with you in my 33 and failing miserably lol

    • At least, according to this study.   https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a60983144/study-loud-exhaust-psychotic/
    • There isn't that many cars yet that are using electric coolant pumps, but they are slowly becoming more common, especially in the euro brands.  back in 2009, they were quite rare, pretty much all were either timing chain or accessory belt driven. That said, the VQ37VHR isn't an uncommon engine, so any decent mechanic should be able to replace the water pump.  I don't live in NSW, so can't make any suggestions.
    • I do not think that the return pipe could be the cause of your particular troubles, unless perchance it is leaking in a lot of unfiltered and unmetered air (assuming your ECU is still using AFMs). And then it could be very bad, but it shouldn't prevent you making boost. Blow then engine up from running lean? Sure. But it would make boost. You really needed to disconnect this thing from the turbo inlets and close those inlet ports off a year ago, and you should do it now.
