I am looking to replace my complete dashboard and centre council with a better condition one tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has any advices or has done it before,

Also I am worried it won't fit as the shop sold me one out of a sedan but mine is coupe, he said it will fit but I don't know if I should trust that! Anyone know if they are same dimensions or not?

SkyHatch got a Roadway Mufflers Custom 2" Cat Back exhaust and I Hit the Fake Lights on the rear Garnish with some NightShades tint in a can. :D

I did rack bushes and anti roll bar links

I hate working under cars

Would have been worth it though.

I've been trying to find out why my car is overfueling. It overheated a lil a few weeks ago from that hot sat we had

I'm wondering if my new water temp sensor is ruined from overheating and air bubbles?

Today me and my mate dropped my gearbox. Because a while ago I was driving and at idle I was bout turn a corner and "CLUNK"! My clutch didnt raise back up and pedal stuck to the floor.. Upon inspection my clutch fork had disengaged and fallen off its springs. And it f**ked up my slave cylinder. Soo I bought new slave cylinder and an extreme heavy duty push clutch to replace the old rooted one while gearbox is out.

2 hours later we managed to get the gearbox back and about to bolt everthing back up. I noticed a weird bolt was snapped but where was its thread!. Turmed out to be the ball joint clutch pivot!! Which helps keep the fork in place. So we had to drop the gear box again and took a look. Low and behold it was. Hell the hell did it snap. No clue. Turns out when it snapped I was in gear turning a corner the force of the fork falling out broke my slave cylinder and caused my clutch to spin uncontrolably against my fly wheel. Now im waitimg for a new ball joint and taking my gearbox into phillip head services so they can drill out this stuck thread for $80...... Thats my day.. Sorry for the long story.

But trust me that was the short version lol.

Newest addition....

Congratulations (I hope)! hehe

Sell the GTR? are you insane?

I'm gonna f**king hold you to this mate. I can't stand the number of NICE cars up for sale due to a baby coming along and more or less the missus handing down the orders that it's gotta go.

She already tried the "we can't afford it and it has to go" when building our house.

I basically said it will be the last thing to go in this house............. If you get my drift.

Have not heard about it since. She understands it's all i spend my money on now. And god knows we don't need the money for what i would get for it.

Exactly. Selling something like your car would only make sense out of pure desperation. The investment:return ratio makes it sheer insanity to let it go any other time. Plus it's really not bloody fair the way they (stereotypically) pull that shit. It's like f**k, what do YOU have of value we could sell instead of MY car, hmm?? And it's more than just a massively depreciated asset, lol...when you've poured enough into it, it's almost part of you.

congratulations

I thought long about my build, the only real thing I had to get straight in my head was , I am NOT going to sell it and when you do not sell it they are worth as much as you spend on them :yes:

Pretty much. i don't see us ever needing the money TBH. We are walking in with enough equity in the house for me to buy an R35. SO whats 25-30g (if im lucky).

Like fair enough my spending on it will drop pretty heavily. But as long as it's sitting in the garage i don't really care.

    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
