Don't worry Peter mine is sitting on a hoist just near it keeping it company!

Terminal build syndrome :)

Do you get in to see what is going on I live 330 Klms from them so it is worse not being able to keep an eye on what is happening :/

All of the above at the moment :)

Good luck with that because it doesn't exist!

In mine we're just addressing the consequences of severe overheating. Was racing alternator came loose, threw all the belts off (so think no water pump) then belts wrapped around clutch fan which punctured radiator. Spirals on from there. Head is off getting checked.

I haven't been in since I dropped it off. Last time I saw the boys was at WTAC but I get updates.

I've been going there a long time so I know what I'm in for I'm prepared to wait.

Oh well it's one of those things that happens. I was doing 142mph at the time and I look forward to doing that again :D

It's always shit when they're offroad.

Can tell you from experience it'll be worth the wait.

In the mean time I will play in my little toy BMW! :D

Is the BMW a car or a real toy ?

My other car is a Tiida, I gave my TT350GT to my Son , wish I held on to until the R was ready, but all good, he is stoked with it :)

It's a 135i so 225kw of little pocket rocket goodness :)

Hammers for what it is! I love it.

That should get going, Tiida is a little family car and does not miss a beat but not fun to drive, swap ?

Pics when done

What year model did you get Troy ?

I saw what looked to be the most current R yesterday and I think I like the previous shape better.

New one looks squat and more like a Velocitor

Brand new, so 2014 model. There are definitely things about the previous shape I like over this one, though ultimately I'd still chose the new model personally :)

Went to fit the eyelids yesterday....unfortunately one of them has a crack in it from being bent. No idea how that's happened considering the box they were delivered in looks fine :( oh well, sent the seller a message on ebay. Haven't left him feedback yet, so I'll certainly get a replacement lol

See, evil and sinful :ban:

As for me :spank: I am worried, I starting to like it

I am sure Kat is a big girl and can take a little banter after 7000 odd posts on this site of wacko blokes

She hands it out half the time :P

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
