have got policies with Justcar cause Shannons dont want me :(

on the phone now and the dude is saying he's never heard of anything regarding discounts for car clubs... peasants indeed

they want a committe member/exec to give a reference name or some more info. Apparently all deals like that must go through some head-honcho by the name of Simon...

Simon is the marketing exec down there, although what they are talking about isn't in place yet (with Just Cars).

It's part of something larger SAU is working on for everyone across the country and will be announced once it's been sorted out

Shannons as referenced before, will give you a discount if you are a member of a CAMS affiliated club and have a CAMS license (that's what i understand).

So in this instance, you have to be on SAU AND have a CAMS License (Both)..?

Not just a member on SAU..?

If the Discount is available because you have a CAMS Licence, then yes, you'll also need to be a member of SAU VIC (or another more expensive CAMS Affiliated Club) because that is a requirement of obtaining a CAMS Licence.

Ok cool, that clarifies that, thanks!

You can't get a CAMS license without being part of a CAMS club - so it's a case of you can't have one, without the other :)

Just being a SAU user (not club member), gets you nowhere unless you are part of another CAMS club and get license that way.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
