Lol... 040 or 044 are fine in the tank and will work well for that sort of power Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6794157 Share on other sites
DaveyR32
I thought the 044 was external Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6794190 Share on other sites
Odium
044 can run in-tank.Both 040 and 044 will require modification to the bracket to get it to fit, it gets strapped to the bracket with a metal hose clamp. Other options are Walbro 255L/h and Walbro 400L/h pumps which are smaller and quieter. Also the Nismo in-tank which is a direct replacement without modification, it's a bit $$$ though compared to the others. Sunkist
Why is this in the Vic section? And why hasn't a search been completed first :S I'm pretty sure this has been covered hundreds of times.. scotty nm35
I wouldn't be surprised if the stock pump outflows the 040. Go with the e85 safe Walbro 400Lph Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6794281 Share on other sites
Birds
040 is fine; plenty of people have run them with much more power than you're chasing. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6794406 Share on other sites

Birds
So with is better welbo or Bosch I've heard of more Walbros failing than Bosch, but it comes down to how well you install/wire it too. Odium
If going for a Walbro, look up the tutorial on here for "Fuel pump Direct Feed Rewire", they are more affected by the voltage drop problems in the OEM wiring than OEM Pumps and Bosch pumps. Downforce
Bosch 023 is a better pump, cheaper, reliable and quiet for in-tank high flow. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6795478 Share on other sites

JadGTST33
My preference was to go a Nismo too, but a mate switched to E85, so I got his old 040 for $50 No problems here! +1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422297-any-one-used-a-bosch-040-pump/#findComment-6796543 Share on other sites
