What rails do you have your seat mounted on? I've got the same seat and side brackets but they're mounted on solid steel frames.

just a bride superlow with a alloy plate 6mm welded to wither upright to get a flat base i could attach to the rail

very tight fit even without the cage

Head fits in the gap with the helmet on

Once it stops raining I'll put the padding in and do a propper test fit I predict it will be tight ...... If only I was 6 foot And not 6,5

I thought that be the case, lines up with a gap, me only being 6' would work out ok, I just need a race seat to lower me down cause my helmut touches the roof lol

Come try it out if you want mick

That sounds like a plan, cheers

With the great big clutch that you now have in the car you will have to get this gearbox removal thing down to a simple process. Maybe you should consider making an inspection hole in the floor so you can do the starter motor and top bell housing bolts up easily (just kidding).

My mate Stuart used to have a combination of extra extra long 3/8 drive extensions and universal joints that allowed you to drop the back of the gearbox down and get to all of the top bolts and have a box in and out in a few minutes - a hoist and a good gearbox jack also helped but it made a prick of a job look easy.

Personally I think thats a great idea Charles.

I been threatening to do it to Duncans car for years,,,drill holes in the firewall and cover them with rubber grommets.

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!

    • Good time for a carbon roof
    • Not in any way aroused by any of those, except maybe the big AMGs. And that would break my never a Euro, ever, rule.
