R33 Gtst Not Pulling Consistently

Not to sure whether this is normal for a car that's older then me but whenever I'm in 2nd and pushing it just over 3k rpm I can feel the turbo isn't pulling consistently, almost feels like the car wants to die on me.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Nope. Never. Maybe once, but then never happened again.

Ecu and boost is stock. So 7psi? Also it only happens on cold starts.

I'm not thrashing it, like I push the pedal maybe about half way and I can already feel it. Or is that normal with turbos on cold starts?

How long does it last? as in, the first take off is sluggish and after that it's fine?

Car runs richer in cold start mode. Stay off boost till car is warm

Does the problem go away when it gets to normal temp?

Also, when still cold, ignition timing is pegged at 15°, which makes it feel like shit if you try to get some go out of it.

Try a working AFM to test. Throw a new set of spark plugs (BCPR6ES, should be gapped to 0.8mm) in it.

I don't rev my car past 3k rpm until the oil temp starts coming up.

I'm pretty sure my AFM is fine, but not to sure how to confirm that.

Based on what everyone has said I think your right. Not a problem, guess its just normal for it to run like that on a cold start. And yes it runs fine after its warmed up. Say 5 mins or so. Maybe even less.

Sounds pretty normal then. Just give her a little love and she'll warm up to you.
