I just had a look through the entries - is there any reason in particular that so many fast SA Skylines are not running at the Nationals? There are far more entries from Vic than SA - very perplexing.

If you have not entered yet, entries are nearly full and there are only days left.

Get on it.

Just throwing it out there but this also falls on the same weekend as the schoolies festival.

I'd very much like to do the car show but living at Victor Harbor I dont exactly want to take my car out that weekend.

What happened to your old one Matt? :(

It wasn't powerful enough :D So I decided to step up to a RB25/30 with E85 specific compression in mind, and a nice little FP HTA GT3586R hanging off the side.

You can leave it at my place if you want for a few days.

My car won't be complete due to my injuries, and i cant see myself even going at this rate. Really quite frustrating.
If i can get healed up in time does any one mind taking me to the show n shine? I'm not insured to drive at the moment.

where is this taking place??

Friday at Mallala (race track)

Saturday at Collingrove Hillclimb (near Angaston in the Barossa)

Saturday night at Mawson Lakes

Sunday at Glenelg

Full details are at http://www.saunationals.com/event_info_entry.php

Is there a cut-off date? Couldn't see one. My Car goes in for new turbo combo/tuning on Monday, waiting to see what the aftermath of it is.....

Spectators - 100% will not be charging for spectators. It's a club level event, pits are fully open etc.

I don't know how other clubs/events think that's remotely fair to charge. So come/go as you please on all days!

There is - It was today, however there have been a couple track day pull outs. So will leave it open till COB Monday.

Dinner - it's a full sit down dinner, raffle prizes you get buy a ticket for etc. Great Value for $40 entry really pretty sure over 100 people already in :)

The Vic crew are getting set and ready, some spent the weekends on their cars and ready to fly the flag

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
