Adz and scotsman, you better be in its only about 5 mins from your location's i believe. I should be there, prolly working during the day, but i should be able to get it off. Was up the dandies last night with friends, had a whole lotta fun espically when you run out of brakes on the last two corners just before the lights at the bottom of the hill.

Ps. andrew if you need any help figuring out the way up and down of the hill let me know, i'm up it quite a bit so i know my way around the dandie tourist road.

should meet up and discuss ideas, i work up in MtD, actually im about to head up there right now, so i knows the roads pretty well...

Brad / Jarrod - I'm fully open to suggestions for this cruise! It was really just a simple plan I had anyways as the area isn't massive.

I was thinking we should try and meet at the base in FGully. And get up the top at 5ish as it will just be getting towards sunset and should look pretty cool. Then head down to Monbulk via the Olinda - Monbulk Rd as that road rocks, then make the way back to FGully. But as I said any other idea's are more than welcome.

But remember - twighlight at the end of June and possibly a decent number of cars so about as bad conditions as you can get so I want to keep things simple and safe for everyone. Its more of a meet-up than a typical SAU cruise this one.

Also - it seems a few people are keen for a social drink too. Any suggestions? In town somewhere or say chapel st? Be good to either go somewhere that will get better as the night goes on but is still fun to start - or somewhere thats close to the action for later.

Yeah, agreed, i just had to drive up there and back and well... its damn foggy, wet and the roads are covered in crud.

I basically take the route you described almost every 2nd day, the other option is the moutain hwy and back thru olinda-monbulk rd.

could be some good photo ops at skyhigh thou?

*glance at ns2500*

but as you said pretty bad conditions atm

If the weather is sh!t im not going on the cruise. Definitely up for a social meet though... so I can meet the rest of you monkeys :D

Any ideas where to go? I vote for Crown coz it's close to home for me :(

:.

Has the venue for the social meet up been decided yet?

I'm always down to go somewhere that serves good food... I suggest we head to the Crown Pub!

Good priced meals, full licensed bar.. not to mention the occasional stunning chicks wandering around

Oh Did I mention I live 5 mins from Crown? :( haha

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
