When the AWD glide was still in my car I was able to run 10.4 not using the transbrake with a real lazy footbraked 1.7 60ft launch. Tried the transbrake few times and it just spun as I didn't warm up the rear tyres in my 33GTR.

Powerglide puts the power down so smoothly compared to a manual. Defienatley had a high 9sec pass with a decent launch. Power plant was a Rb26 with hks 2530's with a manual normally make about 600awhp.

Did you change back to the manual??? What happened to the box?

Already adapted to suit the RB block bolt pattern, tranfercase and bolt straight in, considerably more than the 5K mentioned above.

Ive been looking into it.....(and still researching it)

A straight built 2spd powerglide or Turbo 400 to take serious power, yes $5K and less.

And GTRPSI my phone app didn't let me see you post

Add to that 5k for the box these parts that you will require also.

Custom length and spline output shaft to suit transfercase.

Fabricated sump to clear the drive shaft when the box is massively rotated

Suitable length and angle pick tube to put the oil filter at the bottom of the new fabricated sump.

The dip stick takes some messing around to get it at a suitable height for when the gearbox is rotated.

Decent torque converter can be $1000-2000.

Shifter

Transcooler ect ect

Pretty quickly it gets to 10-12K.

Exactly, and thats assuming you know what your doing......

Chuck this beast in! Perfect daily/quarter mile monster.

Rated for a lousy 750 hp. Waste of time for a "drag car".

@Ryan, have you thought about selling the output shafts and other bits as kits for GTR owners?

That way we could build up our own strengthened autos and just add the bits on to convert them to work with the GTR transfer case.

Would save everyone a shit load of development and you could recoupe some of your already made developement costs along the way.......

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
