Good info Luke, thanks for that.

Anyone got any good ones around Liverpool/Campbelltown (i.e. SW Sydney)? I've heard good things about Bridgestone in Liverpool, but never went there (yet). Apparently Jax Liverpool is pretty decent, but they had no interest in my requested settings when I went for an alignment, and just set toe to whatever (i.e. production line-spec in/out alignments).

Bridgestone Liverpool have been good with my Lancer :) (no idea about good cars).

Had a bit of a meh experience with another place a bit further east up Newbridge Rd... (not naming names but if you're from the area you can probably work it out)

This is confusing. Why did he just assume you we're going to give him your 2 of your enkeis?

Because I'm Asian I presume.

Three other Asian couples were there and a couple were charged $20 more for the same type of job than their (same race) mates.

The last two Enkeis I assume he thought I might forget to take them. And they were the best condition ones.

I'm also of the opinion that he had a mate who was short of a Nissan hexagonal wheel cap.

I asked the owner of JLM today if people of such a race take advantage of Asians > the answer is one I cannot say here.

I think it's more a personality issue than a racial issue.

Arseholes are arseholes no matter what colour their skin, or where they come from unfortunately.

At least you are an unusually observant person, and noticed the cap was missing before they shovelled you out the door; and it was too late.

Agreed, though it is interesting how some races have a higher percentage of arrogant ignorant inconsiderant self centered egotistical elitist arseholes who think they are better then every one else that isnt the same race as them for no apperant reason then other races do :D

Well I thought that $100 for my job was a bit over the top. And it had to be cash.

I can't say though what they were snig- gering about in reference to an Asian couple or the job on their Honda. Body language was all I could rely on between rattle gun bursts. Didn't sound personable.

That's fuarked... I personally just go to Taleb tyres and they're pretty good to me (also Asian).. however I'm not your typical small framed Asian and sound like a lebo half the time (grew up with them in Fairfield) so that possibly helps them behave.

They let me walk up to my car and inspect on what they were doing... so thumbs up to them

Yes thank you Anthony, Dale Nick and others...

Even at my age I'm willing to take people at face value, but when things start to unravel, heightened vigilance goes through the roof.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
