Just would like to know if ppl still using spiltfire coil packs or what is better?

I started to get miss after 7krpm install a hks twin power (helped) then the miss came back after a few weeks, does it all time same

Rpm range. New plugs fitted and gapped to .8 and spiltfire coils about 6 yrs old and about 30,000kms on them. All brand new engine harnesses...also boost is about 22-23psi

E85 or?

What plugs and heat range are you running?

Was it OK for a while and just started or has it been happing from the start?

Have you checked the Spitfires for arcing?

Is it missing when hot?

use copper plugs at 8 heat range from memory, Check coils, make sure your alternator is pumping out decent amperage, flog hks twin spark off and buy Morris tech igniter

Ditch that pos pretty gold HKS box.

For those of us that missed the bulletin what is wrong with the HKS DLI II ?

That hunk of junk cost me two sets of coils. Ditched it along with the factory and used the above mentioned ignitor and issues disappeared.

The factory ignitor is an electrical bottle neck.

That and it's more expansive and harder to get then the Morris tech ignitor

Paul's making 480rwkw with no more then spitfires and a Morris tec ignitor.. I'd be right in assuming that the plugs are copper, heat range 8 gapped at .8 (I may have put the last set in?)

This business of reducing the gap of the plug down to nothing and reducing spark size is a bandaid fix and simply ridiculous

I can't tell you how but I had a new set of OEM and a set of split fires both kick the bucket within 3-4k kms. Ditch the lot and it's all good.

Joey had issues at 400 rwkw, put the ignitor on and done.

I've sent a few of these around the country and on every car the ignition issues disappeared.

I know of at least 8 GTRs with 500awkw+

3 GTRs with over 600awkw

3 GTSTs with over 500rwkw

All with Splitfires and NGK copper plugs. Plug gap is critical and all plugs must be spot. The difference between a .6 and a .65 gap is noticeable when you start going cranking the boost.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product,that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins 
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
