Most cars on gumtree are utter dirtboxes, if the owner can't even shell out $50 for an advert then what else haven't they shelled out for

i work in a car yard the minute i hear a customer go on about what they have found or what there advertising on gumtree i pretty much show them the door.

If they can fork out $50 to place a good add to sell their car then what are the chances they have enough money to buy a near new car.

And also 9 times out of 10 there looking to swap their cars

100% disagree.

Yes there are shitters of course but there are also nice things.

We are now down to 23 cars boys..........

Yesterday, my mate paid a deposit on a 1 owner low mileage (verified) White 1994 model that was for sale at Carizma International in Melbourne.

It's coming up to Sydney on Monday week........... (May 25).

As a devout Holden man it took me about 3 years to turn him but eventually he gave in!

Terry........ Another "Old Bastard" joins the GT-R brigade. I think Mick's about 47-48.:yes::yes::yes:

Here are some pics...... Cheers...... Bob.

I don't mind that my car wouldn't be in the feature. I'd be thinking of bringing my own photographer for a personal shoot at Bathurst anyway if it were held there??? Mind boggles.

Adding 2cents worth.

Agreed there is less being advertised, agree prices appear to be going up

An issue I have is the Price vs Quality.

Mostly really well overpriced poor examples up for sale at the moment.

I'm particularly Talking about the ones on Carsales ATM.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
