This is where I ask: what age are you and what do you do for a living LOL :)

You have no idea of WI let alone I would say much of engines and I can confidently state you know farking NOTHING about my systems or how how they work kent ;)

This is where I get to laugh at you.  I am quite likely older than you.  I am a combustion engineer.  I mean that literally.  I work for one of the best combustion companies in the world.  Big burners.  I know how to burn EVERYTHING.  We treat methanol as a waste fuel (in pulp & paper mills for example).

I can tell you that I have the ability to design a WI or WMI system on the scale of your little engine, or I can design one (like the WI system I designed for a pair of natural gas fired rotary kiln burners for NOx control) at the 80+MW range.

You should just get back in your box.  You're not playing with teenagers here, f**kwit.  We know that WMI and E85 are damn near equivalent.  One eyed cloud yelling like you've been doing is just funny.

So apparently your systems dont run out of water or methanol?

Spraying water and methanol into your motor has no detrimental effect on oil either?

Simple questions really. Answer them!

If you knew anything about E85 you'd know there would be sweet fark all difference between an E85 & E49.5 tune.

Since you're talking about road cars are you really gunna feel 15kw difference up top on the street? Highly farkin unlikely kent!

Go scrape some water outta the gutter you're laying in then jump on ya jizzphone to find some methanol to fill ya plastic tanks up so you can run high boost!

Take ya clunky Syvecs ECU's and ya aquamist plastic tanks and fark off!

For shits and giggles heres a google search.. Yep Methanol is readily available in Sydney ?

E85 SR20 > WI 13B

WoW. That escalated quickly! This thread was just meant to shine some light in the benefits of water and water meth injection, not to bag on e85 or those that chose to use it or to say water injection is shit because you choose to use E85. Each to their own. For those who have readily available pump e85, it's easy to see that the choice is a no brainer. In fact, we would have probably been using e85 from the get go if it was readily available locally.  But for us and many others, this is not an option. We live in Cairns for almost 2 year and with no pump e85 available, drum e85 or wmi were the only other real options to run the power levels we wanted. Even now being back in Sydney, E85 isn't available in our local area or on any of our daily routes. So for our application and situation, wmi was the better option. A 20l drum of meth is $89 delivered through VPW. A 5l tank of 50 50 water meth last about 3 months of street driving. A night of roll racing, 12-13 runs, uses about 1.5l.

Both systems have their advantages and their disadvantages but are both proven winners in terms of increased performance. In fact, what some are seeing as the biggest winner now is a combination of both e85 and water injection. In these situations, pre turbo and post intercooler water or water meth injection is add to a vehicle already running e85. The e85 takes care of your in cylinder cooling and knock suppression, while the water injection keep IATs low and stable and increases the mass flow of the turbo. This type of set up would work extremely well for those who drift or love doing big burnouts, where a lot of time is spent at wide open throttle at relatively low vehicle speeds.

We are happy with the decision to utilise water injection for our specific application. We are always willing to share and compare ideas and results of different systems and technologies as this creates a positive medium for development.

Happy boost all, no matter you preferred jungle juice.

Cheers

Hi Rice Racing, you may have confused SAU with other internet forums. Cut the personal attacks and enjoy your time here.

How nice it is to read something written by someone who can see both the wood and trees!

Thanks ;)

I know its hard for lots to accept that WI is superior to the ethanol time bomb chosen mistakenly by some here.

Apply that standard at the start to the clowns who called me a troll or were saying I am selling something mate, and happy to stay and educate the masses. Otherwise its looking just like every other forum that is biased towards inept commentary and one sided treatment and attacks applied to people who are not part of your inner circle.

Irony of that is you wont learn from experienced people like myself who come in here when time allows to share 'relevant' industry experience, compared to drinking the cool aid self worship introspective love fest of narrow mindedness I have witnessed so far.

Not one person has address any of the proven shortfalls I listed of their beloved Ethanol not a single one.

But many have jumped on the bandwagon to react in a poor fashion then try to deride other alternatives and products, that sir is poor form and shows only the lack of intellect and respect on display so far. Lest see if they all can improve otherwise you will be stuck living in a narrow world view that is not much more than fake news or self validation at its finest ;)

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
