Took a picture of all my wheels today as I think I'm going to try and part ways with some of them. Could use the extra space and could also put that money towards things I actually need rather than some garage ornament lol. I'm getting the GTR close to a "fun" stopping point so I can focus again on my 240. (built rb25, full-race turbo kit, gt3582r twinscroll t4 1.06 housing etc). It has been a never ending build since I was a teenager lol. It's just time to get it done and have two running vehicles. I wish I could find a JUN hood for the R32 to match the 240sx. It's the best looking hood in my opinion.

Those Advans are underrated and look great on the R32.

I get so many complements on them. They just look so beastly. Perfect sizes and tire. Even people that are not into cars are like, that thing looks like it means business lol.

Added a few little items today. I put the nismo steering boss, steering wheel and horn button on. Now my hicas light comes on after a few minutes of driving. My steering wheel is straight though when driving. Not sure what that is all about. Could maybe just be one spline off? Is the Hicas sensor that damn sensitive? I will be deleting hicas eventually anyways, but the light just annoys me. I would rather fix it the right way if possible. Any ways, on to the pics.

Interior is starting to look 1990's nismo. Got another item on the way that should set it off and pretty much complete my interior I feel.

Nice collection of Nismo parts! Mind if I ask what service you use to order from Yahoo Auctions? I'd like to get some more stuff for my R32 that you can't simply buy from a regular shop so I'm trying to make sense of Yahoo Auctions now.

Well I got some parts in today.

Kind of a rare gem here. Nismo Carbon fiber radiator side shrouds. N1 option. This is the real carbon fiber, not that junky stuff you see on 99% of hoods and boot lids etc.

The ultimate GTR tuning DVD 2 disc set. To bad I don't understand japanese :(

got a small cell phone video of the exhaust. The sound quality actually surprised me. I am listening with a sub and speakers though. But I think it does a decent job at capturing the sound of the Midori Seibi if anyone was interested. Keep in mind, OEM rb26dett with OEM outlet pipes. Just front pipes back. It's all in the youtube description. Sounds nice and deep at idle also. Excuse my pops, when I said it might shoot fire, he wasn't expecting that lol.

It's so crazy. The only reason I bought the DVD is because I saw it on facebook. It was a r32 gtr exclusive. I seen it had some old footage of HKS and what not. So I bought it. I didn't realize that North America is in a different "region" than Japan as far as DVD's go. Certain players can only read discs from certain regions. So I ordered a cheap international DVD player off line just so I can watch it. Then bam there is my car lol. So weird.

I also have to say, the 2 disc DVD is awesome. I wish I could understand Japanese because they get into some DEEP stuff. The one tuner actually started crying, very passionate. I think it was Autech Tsukada. I can see how the Japanese car culture is waaaay ahead of us Americans. It's not like its not just a job to them, its their lifestyle. They also find a junkyard r32 gtr and bring it back. Was pretty cool to see that. They talk to numerous tuners. Show the building of a tomei genesis engine.....I see why they are expensive lol. Very very clean.

haha Tsukada-san is awesome. He comes out here every year to help with Steve and Kel's car at Targa Tasmania. Super knowledgeable and committed but still enjoys these old dinosaurs :)

Great trick to find your car on an old DVD, you should buy a lotto ticket....

Got my brake rotors and pads in today. I went with the Dixcel FP rotors and Dixcel ES (extra speed) pads. See how these things hold up.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
