....damn that drive home was so hardcore. I hated every minute of it. My car was aquaplaning all over the place so I literally had to drive at 65km/hr all the way back to Sydney!!!

:P well done on the win

but :talktohand: about the drive home Mr 4wd sports car driver.....I was towing the datto home with a Ute in that....pretty average drive.....

LOL...we have a new leader.:P

Your car was very impressive the way it was getting out of the final corner and hauling down the straight. I was a little worried earlier in the day when you said you were only doing 1:27s:( , but not surprised to read 1:23s because your car looked visible quicker then Snowman and Scotsman

Circuit Name: Sandown

Lap time: 1:36.1 speed limited to 190kmh :edit 24-10-04: new lap time 1:31.6. Hoped to go faster but for a slow M3 and even slower TVR Griff spoiling me for 4 flying laps straight.

Troy, that'd be 1:31.6 for skylinegeoff

Hey there,

sounds like you guys had a great day at Sandown.....

Only 5 weeks to the wedding for me and then after that I can start coming to met some of you guys at track days.....

Any GTS-T's running at Sandown????Times??

Do you guys run with NDSOC??

I saw a GTR and a GTS-T up at Winton with the WRX club when I was up there a month ago running in my standard MX-5. Was that any of you guys ???

James

Brutus - if the GTR was a white 33 with black rims it was Frank. He's a wrx club member and his car is well sorted.

Next year SAU Vic will be running with the WRX Club track days much like the MX5 club and the Liberty club has done previously.

I have run a few times this year with the NDSOC but I find their days a little slow and disorganised - probably because they keep having to pull cars out of the kitty litter or clean up the oil spill from some old datto every session. LOL

As for the GTS-T's running at Sandown last time - most were around the mid 1.30's with skylinegeoff's 1.31 being the best time - none of them were running on semi's however.

Is this normal? Yes I have an HKS oil cooler. The thread I have started is here, thanks in advance for any help you can loan me!

First time out, its a pissy time, but then again nearly a stock R31 with 330,000km on the clock.. lol  Just here for reference I guess for anybody else with an old r31

Go Gordo. Were the other times up there by stealth 1:04 or 104 seconds?

Nizchick good effort but cheater tyres at the back is ...well..cheating ;)

So how is the track surface? Still bumpy as ever at the end of the pit straight? Just thinking ahead to coming home to Brisbane in Jun/Jul and getting new shocks.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
