R33gtstjono
Knocking coming from r33 gtst rear Hey there, So recently I noticed quite a loud knocking sound coming from the right rear and sometimes the left front of my r33 gtst. I notice it more from the rear when going over bumps (kinda sounds like metal on metal) and notice it from the front when turning into my driveway. Just wondering what you guys think it could be, I was thinking maybe the cv joints or the shocks, but that is just an idea from reading other posts. vxsr33
When the car is on jackstands check for play in the wheels. If they have movement it could be worn tie rods. lavet
If it's coming from passengers side rear most likely exhaust is hiting something Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/471334-knocking-coming-from-r33-gtst-rear/#findComment-7841877 Share on other sites
hardsteppa
Cats like to climb into warm places during winter, maybe a cat climbed up in there while you were parked and the exhaust was warm and is now stuck. I would stick my head under there and say 'here puss', see if you hear any meowing. admS15
Do a massive skid until something breaks. The problem part will then miraculously appear. Easy peasy. stewart1
It's usually shocks mine has blown out a few...also sometimes a sharp stone with road tar on it will will get jammed between the body and the suspension (had this happen a couple of times in the summer).
