Trying to remove my speed cut

So I've had my r32 coupe for a bit now and I want to get around the 180kph limiter. Originally the car was 25de auto but has been swapped to 25det s2 with 20det manual. It also has a z32 ecu. I've seen that disconnecting the vehicle speed sensor wire (pin 53 if I remember correctly) from the ECU can stop the limiter working (while also interfering with power steering) but this did not seem to work for me as I put in a switch to easily disconnect and reconnect it but it will still stop at 180kph regardless. I am unsure about installing a speed limit defender right now as I havent had time to do any real research into it especially with the mess of wires that goes into the ecu from all the swapped things and stuff. 

I'm really not to sure what I'm looking at and why it's not doing what it's supposed to so if anyone has some more experience and can help that would be sweet. Cheers guys.

Might need to expand on that a little for me. I've never done anything with ecus so I dont know what to search up man.

Mate, it’s a Nissan specific ecu module.

Nistune is a real-time tuning suite designed especially for Nissans which provides the ability to:

• Retune factory Nissan Engine Control Units (ECU)
• Monitor gauges and map tracing on your ECU
• Data log from your ECU using consult, wideband and auxiliary inputs
• Perform playback using graphs, gauges and map tracing
• Connectivity for up to two emulators simultaneously
• Loads and Saves files in regular and odd/even formats for chip burning (EPROM/FLASH)

I wasnt 100% on if it was nistune or not but indeed it is. I've still never done anything with an ECU but in short am I able to find somewhere who can plug in their laptop and just remove the speed limiter or is there more to it than that.

Yeah that's one of the things that was throwing me off. I didnt expect it to still have the limiter if it was aftermarket. Cheers for the help. I'll find a place to get it done. I'd be so lost without help haha.

By default the setting is left at 180km/h for both Speed Limit 1 and 2.

You'll be surprised at some tunes I've seen from "big shops" setup incorrectly

Sorry for the late reply, I'm in hamilton. Going to a place I think can do some work tomorrow. Speedwell tune and service was recommended by a workmate so I'm trying there.

      Nice one, I'd argue that the white S1 RS260 is certainly the best looking of the Stageas. And yes, fully agree on the forum situation. It's a bit of a shame, but at least SAU is a good place to be. I found the facebook groups to give me FOMO because people were trying to one-up each other and show off in some way. Feels much more natural here. There are people with seriously nice builds, but I can appreciate it rather than it making me question my life choices. Might be that people are more open with sharing how much work/money/suffering it takes to actually get there.

      Evening, wanted to pop in and finally register to say hi to everyone here on SAU!   It's been a while since I've been active on a forum, but back in the day I used to be relatively active on ClubLexus and other hobby-related forums. I'm glad to see SAU is still around, since with the advent of Facebook and Discord it seems forums aren't what they once were. As a recent new owner of an S1 260RS Stagea, I've found so many older guides and helpful tips from SAU that I figured I needed to join and say a grave thank you. My recent acquisition has only become legal in the US for the past year, and knowing that similar car enthusiasts from across the pond have already figured out the kinks and tricks to get these 25+ year old cars running well. I look forward to diving into more of the SAU forums as well as hopefully contribute some info myself for future posterity.   As a pic tax, here is one of the few good photos I have of my Stagea. I hope to get way more in the future!

      1.5mm alloy folded up, it will need a tweek, as the angled bend only got to around 45° as that was the max that the break press would get with the other bends, and I needed a fair bit more, but and the alloy is easy to bend too my will by hand once I trim the lower section out I'll Dremel out and form the angle and mounting point on the lower section when time permits  As for the lid, I'm looking at going a "cap", instead of a flat lid to hide the fixtures a bit
