I bought mine from Concept Z

https://conceptzperformance.com/hks-stainless-steel-catback-exhaust-system-full-dual-muffler-infiniti-q60-coupe-17-cv37-awd-rwd-31014-kn001_p_32626.php

Put it on myself. Very easy jack stands.

But if i was going to do it again i would get something like this

 https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-infiniti-sport-exhaust-kit-axle-back-exhaust-system-infiniti-q60-17-coupe-cv37-b0100-q60st_p_30289.php

Or just straight pipe it the whole way. I drove the car without an exhaust for shits and giggle when i was swapping it and it's not very loud at all.

Nissan Oz are too busy trying to decide whether we need a Qashqai or Xtrail (whatever the difference is), really not a new issue. At least we can import cars they decided not to directly, at much better value.

BTW can I confirm ADM Q50 all have no spare tyre (just goop)? Is that the same in JDM skyline? I'm going to need to sort something, I can't do billions of highway klm without a spare

Mate my JDM model has run flats so no spare or goop.

Thanks , I'll look into those .

i looked at a HKS Exhaust for my 400R and the pricing was out of this world like to get it posted from the US is crazy.

it was more then $2000 postage and i understand its a heavy item but thats just a cat back like $5000 for a cat back exhaust to my door imo is crazy.

There was a  performance shop offering me a similar exhaust for $8k sure they just got it posted to and trying to make some extra cash though they said labor costs of installing but yer cat back and im paying $3k labor yerr nah.

I remember i got a custom exhaust made for my TX3 back in the day from Hitech Mufflers on Parramatta Rd just wondering if i could get one these days for under $5k for my VR37?

For sure, just give someone like Castle Hill Exhaust a call. I was just looking today, the factory system is twin 45mm so I'm pretty sure there is gains to be made

Yer i was talking to someone about the dump pipes and he told me the VR30DDTT dump pipes arent like regular turbo dump pipes.

apparently they are mated to the turbo itself?

but he also stated i would not need to change them unless trying for over 600hp plus my injectors would have to be change anyway as they are limited to 500hp but he insisted that i can make 500hp with no modifications just a tune.

this is just what i have been told by a performance shop which i wont name but i still want an exhaust as i think the tips of the V37 Skyline looks dog shit so a cat back at a minium with nice tips.

Hangers will be in a different spot and the distance and angle from where they join will be different.

But you could show an exhaust shop those pics and say you want something like it, probably cheaper to make it like that too.

hahaha i was actually thinking about doing something like that washer mod lol.

but i gotta be honest the tips on the 400R also look dog shit its a shame they used the same tips on the 400Z lol.

so is the 2020 VR37 exhaust the same as a 4door Q50?or Q60 as i have messaged a few shops and they have no idea.

1 told me the q50 is up to 2022 and im like look its a 2020 Nissan Skyline 400R and then they proceeded to tell me that its an R33 exhaust i needed and im like nah its not its not.

apparently 1 has a cross pipe section and 1 dont?

I dont understand why getting a f**kin exhaust made or bought for this car is so hard lol.

and yes the hangers are in different spots for the mufflers for the 2016 models.

I don't know for sure, but I expect the recent model V37 400R (or RV37) is pretty much identical to the recent model Q50 RedSport with the differences being cosmetic. (and ignoring the fact the new model Q50 RS is LHD only)

My 2016 Q50 does have a crossover, and it is a twin 45mm (out diameter) system, so not exactly free flowing.

Just take the car to Castle Hill Exhaust (or any other decent performance exhaust shop) and get it on a hoist for them to check out, based on power targets they will make something custom for you.

Good afternoon SAU Team , I thought I would a quick update on the 400R , so far a quick ICE system mod using carlinkit , I can run full android without a phone , but it does allow for wireless carplay/android auto, loads a bit slow but everything works well.

But the better update is ,I just received Fujitsubo exhaust straight  from Japan thanks to the guys at Black Hawk (https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/) (highly recommended)around 3k mark with shipping and GST . Will install this weekend , I'll post some updated pictures then.

Nice! Love to hear the new exhaust. Remember to run the car without the exhaust for shits and giggles :)

I got my car booked into a local exhaust shop to see if they can help with the raspy exhaust note at around 3k rpm when under heavy load for mine. I have a HKS system but also some High Flow Cats.

When you get a bit of time, can you post a bit more about what this is/what it does? I think options for English will be very useful to other JDM owners

    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
    • Any idea where I can get genuine MAF apart from used ones? I can't find any only for GTRs and unfortunately that price is not in my budget 🤣 I might gap my plugs down and put my splitfires in, they were only in for a year or so before I started the rebuild
