Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT?
I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm)
Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.

The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor.

The pads are the same for both.

When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors?

310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1.

You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.

@GTSBoy
Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33)
Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear).

They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit.

I have 17inch LMGT4s

So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?

310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places.

Nothing for the front can be put on the back.

Ok i will get those 310mm.
I found one but on a different site.

This is the description on those...is it ok?
Technical parameters:
- Axle: front.
- Disc type: ventilated.
- Number of holes: 5.
- Disc diameter: 310mm.
- Total height with center: 54mm.
- Thickness (new/min.): 30/28mm.
- Designed for brake calipers manufacturer: Sumitomo.

Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline?

For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car

This is DBA's top one piece equivalent

Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site.
But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT.

And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂

EDIT:
I found these on one site here:
DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S
They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good?
EDIT2: ok they have pads too.
What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)

I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.

No those pads are DBA too :) but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.

Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.

For DBA, check out their guide table here.

Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.

Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes.
I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T.
I then went to their site:
https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/
and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors...

So now iam rly confused...
The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown...
So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?

Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's.

Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect.

I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.

Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one.
I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄

I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car...

So i dont know what their answer will be.

I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...

So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT.

I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small.
But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D

https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34

Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg

https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/

If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
