Don't nominate a time for the day - say like 2mins or something. That way you'll be put into the 'not been on track before group' and you can go as slow or fast as you like to begin with in the morning. If you get faster, they'll move you to a faster group for the arvo. Simple, and that way you'll have no arseholes running up the back of you to put pressure on you.

Won't have to do numbers - Maserati will supply your car a number, and you'll have to stick it onto your car. Any existing numbers will not be read anyway.

I had Michelin Pilot Sports on my last car when I went to sandown last. Had alot of beading, but didn't use much tread. Can't tell u about semi comps... but I imagine a set of semis should last 4 - 5 track days?

I have filled out the entry form for track day and will fax it in on Monday with TBA in all CAM related fields. Hope I get in. On the Maserati Club entry form it states $125 for the day (Roy's original link), Nissan Datsun entry form (snowman's link in VIC section) it's $85.

different track events mate.

LOL...i nominated my time at 1:35, which i hope is about 5 seconds off what ill be able to get. If im nowhere near 1:30s then it will be proof that i cant drive for sh1t cause the car should be capable of thos times :uhh:

Snowman, what sort of dollars did you pay for the Ferodos? The WA guys have some Hawks going for $275

Yeh, I'm trying to get some Endless ceramics... but can't get Brent from Nengun to reply to my emails

What are a set (Front) of Ferodos worth, and which ones exactly? :)

PS Troy, you've got me down for 2 of them bonnet straps right? how do they attach to the bonnet?

Ferodo 2500s...and its only the one strap. Ill have to run around and check a few ppls cars, as the proper ones ive made have been for an S14 and R32 GTST, the dodgy ones that worked a trick at PI are basically universal, but werent the most elegant solution.

Thanks mate, you know mine is a 32R right?

And I need 2 - one for my mate's Integra Type-R too

Cheers - want me to wire you some dollars?

Yeh why not, how much you offering? If i put a Nismo badge on it will you pay $350?

Dont worry about the coin, its all good, on the day is fine. Towards the end of the week when we have numbers finalised ill do a quick head count and buy all the parts in one hit

Roy/Ronin - Ferrodo 3000's were $280 for a set of fronts at racebrakes.

The 3000's are basically the track only ones (cause they are too damn noisey otherwise) where the 2500's are the street/track comprimise.

Adz - unless you get some cheaters then 1.35 is probaly right. Infact damn good.

Oh hang on - your driving a RWD car. Sorry I forgot - you guys should be running the flat 1.20's thats right cause they are so much better than us poor blokes with 4wd.

.

Do they grind at all when cold, are they eating the rotors after the 4 track days. I ask because a friend ate a set f Harrop rotors using pretty hard core Pagids:(

Your finally coming around to our way of thinking :freak:

Its ok guys - we all know we only get 4wd cars to cover our short falls as drivers.

I mean anyone can drive a GTR fast. Roy tells me there's no skill at all in it anyways.

But then Roy also tells me Sandown is just a drag strip (with 12 corners in it!!?) and that there's no reason a GTR should be quicker around there - just like there's no reason for them to be quicker around the Island - so we'll just have to wait and see.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
