Well... it was pretty much as i suspected.

Found out the radiator is a larger aftermarket unit...

ECU is a standard R33 GTR ECU...

Sam took me for a drive (Dr_Drift) in it... well... now i know what it can do in the right hands hahaha when we got back i was a little shakey and in need of some new underpants but soon got over it :(

We finally got to put it on the Dyno and had a couple of runs... second one blowing a nice little flame but was restricted by the mixture reader in the exhaust pipe... so... we took it out ;)

and this happened :)

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost.../414flameon.wmv - right click save as ;) its not the greatest quality but i cant actually get the video off the camera and on to the HDD so it will have to do.

Now down to the numbers :(

The car made 207rwkw on 9PSI :)

472nm torque.

Not bad figures for a stock GTR engine.... in a 1350kg cefiro ;)

least my 90kw n/a dosen't tend to drop drive shafts :( I meant that car sounds n goes like it had a lot more. I genuinely thought it'd do around 250rwkw, with a very good curve that shows nice responsive tuning.

Hehe pwnd a couple of kids in a silvia around a few bends today in my old man's car, and they were like WTF at the lights. They noticed the Nissan badge and they go "we din know that nissans made powerful sedans..." so I gave them a few Duet-SS aided dori demo's in the family sedan.

lmao

of course it sounds a lot harder it has a 3" drain pipe from the front pipes STRAIGHT to the rear :D

and it can drop driveshafts cause it has the power to do so... unlike someone elses car :P

jetdat - yeah i have to go out to keysborough tomorrow to see a guy from these forums to get some work done so will be stopping by to see if anyone can help me install the part... :)

monkey - all u would need to do is ad more boost to about 12 or 13psi and tune it properly and it should easily be able to run into the mid or lowmid 200s... but u dont need it for dorifto... like u said tho it is a good base to build from.

nice ni sorry I couldnt make it I ahd every intention of being there but other shit jsut took over.

I told yu you need to go for a drive with sam he knows his shit eh :P

congrats on the figures dude . btw my pissy little sr made 221 rwkw & 748 nm of torque not bad for a 4 banger.

still a great figure for a stock motor and as you can see you dont need 300 + rwkw to drift really weel unless your name is sam

cheers

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
