ok guys simple as this.

Ive talked to a few people and chatted to a few freinds. This is the exact story (with there about speeds) of pretty much what happened.

on the night apparently there was a formal of some kind, my massus said she was bar tending there and when ***** came to get a drink (as all drivers were allowed, coke i believe ) a girl was asking him to go really fast on the way home...

***** Was then on the way home and as some kind 'people' have notified me, he was doing in excess of around 150 kph. He hit a bump, flung the car up and nose dived into the street and then took off alot of the front, then spinning out and hiting a pole. The driver and passenger then were flung roughly 15 meters and therefore died on impact. The girl in the car was still alive after the accident but died once ambulance officers arived.

Yes his father does know about the accident and is presently on his way back from overseas.

The old guy in the front of the car is unkown why he was there. ill try and dig up some info about him.

Please guys, theres your facts just leave it at that.

and just to clear up a few things, the driver was not a 18 year old, he was 20. He has done many courses in offensive and defensive, including BMWs driver training courses, there wouldnt have been much he could do exept for not speed, but those of us that do know him, know that he was usually more responsible about choosing where to do such things.

I live on Chamberlain rd.

On the nite of the crash it had just rained making the road damp and very oily. To make matters worse this road is VERY SLIPPERY! No amount of training could help! :(

I also just found out my brother knows the cousin of the driver.

R.I.P

Our thoughts go out to those resting, and the families and friends involved.

I urge everyone to please take care.

The roads are a dangerous place. I know! as...

1. My mother was killed as a pedestrian, taken out by a collision of two cars at an intersection.

2. My youngest brother lost his leg on a motorbike, taken out by a motorist out of control.

The Skyline is a beautiful and powerful motor vehicle and I won't be giving mine up but, let's enjoy a cruise and go to a track when you feel the need.

My son is driving now, and I don't wish to think about the call where the Police have their caps in their hands.

Take care.

i only heard about this after a few connections were made.... my power went out, i got a txt about why not too long after - EVL34R has been written off

after which it was later connected that this would have been in SPEED, looked at it in issue 13 (my 14 is missing) where i saw the link to here... from the show n shine at mingara

anyway all in all, it is always going to raise the issue of young people, driver training, etc etc - which i wholeheartedly agree needs to be reviewed perhaps with the speeding camera revenue (naaa not likely - i think a new tax would eb in order)... driver training is expensive, and why is it that something such as death has to bring up these issues?

being from in the area i actually know the road, and the dip is horrendous... you will get air doing a mere 80km (although not enough to lose total control) knowing only from my days of my P's - which i was lucky enough to have a small controlable FWD (hell i still do)

all said, my heart goes out to all involved in this tragedy, and to everyone who is involved in any road tragedy - these accidents shouldn't be happening - at least not on the streets... i hope that everyone who reads this does genuinley care about the loss, but also for improving their driving if they didn't already

James

Such a sad loss, but i wonder what would have happened if they were doing the correct speed insted of 3 times that?

i know it sounds a little heartless, but it's the minaroty that stuff everything for the majority, i wonder what new laws will be comming into place to stop young/all drivers having any kind of modifications or turbos for that matter.

It seems that the split second of speed at the wrong time has become very costly. May the shocking wreckage of the Beautiful car and the memory of these three people be in the back of ours minds whenever we go to "give that little bit extra". Who knows what will happen, maybe nothing but one time maybe something much like this. Respect yourselves and those around you. RIP.

Rest in peace to the 3 involved, and condolences to the families!

this is always a reality check hearing of incidences like this. no matter how good a driver you think you are.. all it takes is one tiny mistake.

i made a little photochop out of respect for the 3 killed.

if race car drivers get it wrong on the track from time to time what makes any of us really think we can get it right in an uncontrolled environment on the street. I was in a massive accident last year my mate who was drunk but didnt tell me (cause i was too) flipped his astra at about 100km sliding us on the roof to within one meter of someones living room in which a man was watching tv with his young daughter, i will never forget the noise and the what might of beens. This could of been avoiding and so could every mistake we make on the road but it happens and in a weird way it helps proove to us all we are human and life is too precious to think we are invinsible. RIP, sencere regrets and condolences to all those who know the deceased!

Dan.

Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on the snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die….

respect ur life guys - u only get 1 shot.

It's True..... Check out today's Telegraph.

We knew yesterday, but code of conduct (In Radio News... My Work) Did not allow us to release the info about her till late yesterday. Hence why the evening news reported about it, and the papers today

What a dickhead. I'm sorry, but from the looks of this, the driver was just an accident waiting to happen. Its a shame that he took two others out with him, but these things happen.

What does anyone plan to do about this sort of thing? Dees anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be avoided? Should we limit the power of cars on the road? Should there be age/power restrictions similar to motorcycles?

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
