Any car audio shop should sell them eh! We have them at work for NZ$15

You can cut it and add the 'normal' end on, but you will notice there are two aerial wires going into the nissan aerial plug. You need to select the correct one. Its usually the wire with a small bit of rubber around it right at the base of the plug. If ya have a look you will see what I mean!

Also if you dont join it correctly, you will lose all reception.

For those who don't live around the corner from Chris the easiest adapter to find is the Aerpro AP348A which is available anywhere they sell Aerpro products.

Also, for the R32, not sure if R33/34s are the same. If your not using a Nissan adapter to wire the power and speakers for the new headunit, make sure you connect the power-antenna output (usually the blue wire) to the black/red wire in the centre pin of the factory headunit plug. This powers the factory antenna signal booster.

There is another black/red wire next to it but it's a speaker wire.

booster,

I'll ship these things via mail order so its not a problem

same goes for the early nissan harness adapters. (I'm a Aeropro dealer..)

good point in the antenna amp. I have found a LOT of people miss this one. FM works partially but AM won't.

so if i have a japanese kenwood head unit that only picks up fm to 90.0 and am radio this type of adapter will let me pick up fm radio??? and will it be on the normal channels on there?? like say b105 will be on 105.3?? bcoz i heard they are set up to get u the station but ten numbers down the line so b105 will be 90.5?? but this couldnt be right hey??

my headnuit isnt a stock nissan 1, its an aftermarket japanese kenwood head unit, reasonably new aswell. just that it cant pick up any radio stations after 90.0 on fm frequency. the only thing i can lsten to is jjj and it sucks ass, or am radio. will this converter fix my problem or should i just get a new head unit that is australian spec??

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
