i finally got full com insurance with justcars.

past 3 years i've been on third party fire and theft, but now, i've gone full comp at a rating 3 and listed all my mods and aftermarket bits like wheels and whatnot

end up paying $1959 a year to the value of $18000, what is everyone else paying? just so i know

would you believe i was paying $500 for the value of $5000 max lol

thats not too bad man... i was a dumb ass and didnt have ANY insurance on my R32 for over a year and then finally got full comp at 22 when i was a rating 2 and that cost me like 2k as well... depends a lot on where u live and ur past driving record too... i only had one ticket to my name.

Just cars are gay man.. Ive been with them for the past 3 years paying around $600ish for 3rd party F&T and they only gave me market value of 5k.

I got a mate who has a mate in Vigil Insurance and now he is giving me Full Comp with all the mods in the world for $1300 a year.

I also get free roadside care, choice of repairer and agreed value of 11k!!

Remember, I have a 31 so thats damn good.. you guys with 32's 33s etc.. would get more

i been paying $625, comprehensive, for agreed value of $28,000 for the last 3 years with QBE, but now that i am staring to modify the biatch i am going to unique cars for all you can modify for $1000. i am rating 1.

Well this was 2003 in VIC

Rating 1 .. no accidents ever.. 27.. Agreed value of $23k, all mods notified to insurance.

$1300 .. thats as low as it gets folks :) unless you're maybe over 30, and i did shop around at the time.

Low as it goes hey? I'm 22, rating 2, insured my r32 gtst with wheels, exhaust and suspension mods with just cars for an agreed price of $16200 for......

$1200 this year. last year i was rating 3 and it cost me $1700. I'm pretty happy.

i was 27 when i got the current skyline, started off with $800, next year went down to $650, this year gone was $625.

i been rating 1 for years and have a very clean driving record.

my car was pretty stock though except cat back and filter.

just cars was willing to insure me on rating 1 (21yr old) because i said that aami was going to take my shitter on rating 1. they checked up and said if you insure the other car through aami then we will give you rating 1. and that was after one year of insurance in my own name (third party). i thought it was a pretty good scam to get cheap insurance.

turned 21 a few months ago, and i was getting quote $2467 for a R34 GT-T - valued at like $28K i think?? not sure if i got to agreed value bit... but i told them the mods, and it didn't seem to change the premium..

$40K adz????? wtf?????

EDIT: that's rating 4, even tho i'm rating 3 with AAMI, Just Cars wouldn't recognise that i started on rating 5 with AAMI. :( - Might have to try this Vigil mob tho... I thought Just Cars was the cheapest these days for low 20's.

yeah, my figure was for all mods (a few on that car), and agreed value of the $23k.. depends i guess. Usually with the agreed value they push it up :D otherwise they just give u market in the incident of a crash (which can be bad if you have a few mods too, like rims, etc)

hay guys just wondering what you reckon cos iv sold my gts and been with just cars for 2 years and paying 1100 full comp on it and now im getting a gtst with a few mods what do you recon the comp would be and who to go with

If you read the above thread you should get a good idea of what prices youll have to pay however it all comes down to what your driving record is like, your age, your area, the value of the car amongst other things. Going from a non turbo to a turbo will be more expensive, that I can be sure of. :headspin:

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
