Another 32 gtr or is it?

Hey Fellas,

I've been creeping round while waiting for my line to arrive and hopefully it arrives real soon! If it gets on this months ship then it should be here on the 12th. Below are the pics of my baby. It's a bit dirty but a good amount of elbow grease should get it looking scmick!.

What do you guys reckon?

Also I've noticed taht in the engine bay near the back I have only 2 cables instead or the usual 4 of 5 that normal GTR's have? what are those cables and am i missing somthing? In the GTST's they have only 2 cables at the back so hopefully it's not a GTST --> GTR conversion. I think i'm being paranoid but you never know. Someone please enlighten me.

Thanks! with the engine how much would it cost to get someone to professionaly detail the bay? I would do it myself but i'm afraid of breaking somthing. :Oops:

Geoff from Prestige says mine is confirmed on the next boat from Yokohama and should be here around the same time as yours :)

Getting this car thru Craig from JapanperformanceDirect.

He said that Japan is currently on holidays but and cannot find out if i'm guaranteed to have it on the ship til later on which will be prolly when it's arriving heheh :(.

Why would u want to remove ABS?

Is it a NISMO Edition GTR? I know the NISMO ones came with no rear wiper and some other slight differences, maybe they also had no ABS - because I don't think something that aids drivers would be allowed under racing rules.

Actually yes, I'm sure that's it.

Here's 2 of them on Prestigemotorsport, they only have the 2 wires you mentioned. Compare them to "normal" R32 GTRs that have the 5.

So i've got the NISMO GTR.! that sounds pretty kewl. Time to search and find out the differences.

Hey Guys,

I can't find any decent information on what are the differences between nismo and non nismo. Some say no stereo, no A/C and others say it does and blah blah. Tried googling for the past 3 hours at work no luck all speculation. Does anyone actually have an idea what the differences are? Here's a few more pictures of the car if it helps to distinguish if it's a nismo.

At least one difference if it is a real NISMO version is the turbo's..

Type - T04B/T25

Compressor A/R 0.42 Trim 62

Turbine A/R 0.64

Steel wheeled but not ball bearing

      I mean down here I get absolutely nothing, and I'm driving around with a V8 version. I say "absolutely nothing" but the actual instances I can remember on one hand, and funnily enough were all in Sydney, not Melbourne. Specifically one very insistent guy hanging out of his window, pointing to the engine bay, then giving me an exaggerated thumbs up. That and one guy a decade ago who was an American who had clearly just seen his first R34 ever in person, and seemed surprised when I was like "Oh dude you'll see them everywhere" but this was 2010. But 99.99% of the time it gets no looks from absolutely anyone, ever.  BIG CAVEAT: SEDAN

      It never really happened in Australia until more recently. They first started coming in in the 90s and most people wondered what these weird looking cars were, and that's about. There was a little bit of fanboi stupidity after F&F. But more recently, now that you seldom see a Skyline on the road (because they have either all been drifted into trees or stashed in sheds and never driven), I'm getting regular instances of massive thumbs up and smiles, a few guys wanting to take photos (and asking politely!). It's kind of good. Makes me think I've done the right thing by keeping the car as my daily across the 25 years I've had it. You still get dropkicks gesturing for you to do a burnout. Idiots.

      Ok so the other test that seems easy enough (with the right equipment) would be to check what pressure the pump produces when its on. If its in spec its probably safe to just replace the pressure switch, and if not it makes sense to replace the whole unit. Does that sound sensible? EDIT: Do you have a spare pressure switch you want to sell?

      Decided to remove the clutch booster as it’s more things that can go wrong and it frees up a lot of room and means less vacuum lines running around the engine bay  old one out and on the floor  new one ready to go back in  installed! I haven’t swapped the slave onto it yet, I will wait until the engine and box are in to see if I need to change the line or any thing

      Yeah exactly the switch unit just needs to be designed with those numbers (or thereabouts, obviously the high one is the more dangerous if you don't get it right). It would be worth contacting FPG, they are pretty responsive and might be able to add to their lineup with you M35 information, the have 80% sorted already from the GTR one. https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/
