the Aaron Phase 3 day sounds the same as a UAS day, no real formal instruction, but instructors on hand if needed.

yep, that's exactly what it's like. except that it's a bit less formal. ie, no grouping of cars into fast/slow etc. just get out there and drive!! this way you get a lot of track time. also they have proper, door handle to door handle races at the end of the day for people that A. think they are good or B. are going for a C3 licence.

I had Aaron spend some time with me in the GTR and it was time and money well spent.

hey guys,

First of all, big ups to Adam and Jaala, as this is pretty much their baby!!!! well done. A great success!

Congratulations also go out to all of the other helpers Merli, Mars & partner, Duncan & Kel, Dan & partner, Neil & Partner, the guys that helped with the selling of raffle tickets (sorry didnt get their names), my cousin Dejan (who got ropped into helping by myself, but enjoyed the day thoroughly), anyone else i missed and the organisational people that have put in leading upto and on the actual day.........and im sure the others that will put in as part of the closure of the event.

also what an effort by all the forum members who made it from near and far (that guy from wagga.........jesus what an effort!!). we had a huge (nearing on 100!!) and extensive range of skylines and various other models! without you guys making an effort on the day it wouldnt have been such a success.

thanks to the sponsors who stayed all day along with their demo cars!!! great to see!

i really enjoyed the day and helping out made it so much more fun.

and i hope the guys (sorry didnt catch the name) that i helped push out of the mud, and the other guy i helped push out of the ditch enjoyed their day too!!!

thanks again to everyone!

Jase

Jason, nice to meet you on Sunday... Sorry I didn't get to talk to you properly, I was extremely stressed about making sure all the cars were entered into the judging sheets... Next time for sure!

I think we should REALLY stress the importance of pre-entry next year. It would have made things run so much smoother and the judging would have been much faster too!

Anyway, please pass on a HUGE thanks to Dejan for helping me out with preparing the judging sheets, I appreciated it more than he could ever imagine :uh-huh: :D

At least there was one zed there frotn and centre that was nice. Like a fish out of water though.

Two zeds were there, well almost! lol. Mine was on the side of the road at the entry to the car park. Actually did anyone get a pic of it with the extinguisher dust on it? i didnt and i would like one just cause i think its well funny.

we didn't pre-enter due to the fact we didn't know if we were going to make it.....but judging should have commenced as soon as the first car was parked and ready to be looked at (my 2 cents)

I hope WE can do it again! It was an awesome experience.

    • Aye, everything is being touched and all the parts that are responsible for the oiling issues are also fixed. (Crank collar, billet prp oil pump, head return to sump, yada yada yada)  Everything used is of reputable brands like greddy, prp etc. My tuner did mention we’d keep the torque on the “lower” side.   glad to read that my engine won’t blow up on me lmao
    • It's a fuel pump. EFI, high pressure, but specs otherwise unknown. A bodge job.
    • 800 engine horsies is fine. Will need all the obvious upgrades. Rods, pistons, oil pump, big sump, sump breathing mods. Build for revs because revs are power with less stress on the bottom end compared to boost. Keep the torque down in the midrange, either by limiting boost or timing.
    • Hiya guys,    i’m currently in the process of getting my rb26 built. everything is being replaced with better/upgraded parts or oem when that’s good enough (which isn’t alot lol). someone earlier mentioned to me that i’ll be screwed cause the iron block can’t take 800hp (to the engine, not wheels) which is what it’s being built for.  what do you guys think about this, am I cooked or na? The guy building the engine will also do the mapping as he is “the guru of old nissan engines” here in Belgium. I know the mapping makes a huge deal so i’m not concerned about that.    I honestly he’s talking shit cause he’s that kinda guy but a second opinion never hurt anyone! cheers in advance! 🫶🏻
    • I'm seeing torque specs all over the place for the OUTER tie rod, but none for the INNER tie rod, where it connects to the steering rack. Even in videos, people are just tightening em up as much as they can with a wrench and that's it. Anything tightened down without torque makes me nervous. Anyone know what the spec is for it?
