rinmak
Just curious as to how many people fold their mirrors in when leaving their babies parked? I do mine all the time, in my opinion aside from looking cool - it saves the day some random comes by and runs right into your mirror from ever occuring Dont know if the option was on R32s, know it was on 33's, surely it would be on 34's. POOMBAH
I was so excited the first time I figured it they could fold in hehehe the novelty has worn off ages ago but I still do it to impress the people staring at my car when I'm parking somewhere :Pimp2: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486131 Share on other sites
Bunta
I wouldnt mind doing mine...but they fold in ok but when it comes folding out the passengers one stays in...so I have to get out and move it by hand, not a very cool look then.. :whatsthat Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486395 Share on other sites
PHATR32
im gonna connect the mirrors to the autowindow winder so when i arm the car, the windows close them selves, and the mirrors fold in automaticly. steve Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486546 Share on other sites
xRHETTx
Dont know if the option was on R32s, know it was on 33's, surely it would be on 34's. Standard on all r32-r34s. I fold mine in most of the time. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486723 Share on other sites

Kaz200
standard on 180s as well Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486963 Share on other sites
rinmak
The closest I can get to getting them automated is to close the mirrors before you turn the car off, then turn the car off and put the switch back on open. That way when you hop in and put the keys in next the mirrors will fold out magically, pimps the hell out of any passengers in there at the time Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1486964 Share on other sites
Jordan
I park in an apartment with tiny garage. If I dont fold them in then I bust my fat ass on them when I try and walk around the car to get to things stored at the very back. someonestolecc
Gotta love the nissan parts bin the ceffies got em as well. I leave mine out unless I think they're going to get them in harms way. I thought about putting them up to my alarm to do it automatically (my friend has it on his GTiR).. but I have to consider wear n tear, it'd be hard to get me a ceffy mirror to replace it. pkblade
Not really fussed, but if I remember I fold. What I find annoying is when new passengers to the car (normally lady friends) before entering, tell me someone bumped my mirror in & proceed to manually unfold them, ahhhh!! :bonk: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1487251 Share on other sites

Beer Baron
you haven't had this car for very long have you? my GTI-R had this and I used it for about a week. the Soarer also has it and the GTR does too. it's fun the first time you see it after that it has limited usefullness. Fly_With_Sky
i guess i would fold them in if i had to park in some tight space or get through a tight area just to make sure i dont break one off, but otherwise there is no real point to doing it is there? Sambo33
mine fold in ok, but the drivers side one never wants to fold out again. ive got to wind the window down and manually fold it back out. hence i never use em Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1487659 Share on other sites
**JaR**
there is no real point to doing it is there? there is when you have to park in car parks alot, especially shopping center car parks...,.. alota ppl tend to jst not care if they hit your car or somehting like that, i seriously have a vengance against them types of people. eXc
I only do it in my garage. I reckon it looks kewl and chix love it (no really...I can't work it out, but they do) but I know too many people that are 'kind' enough to 'fix' the mirror up on your behalf, I havn't done it but i am guessing it would cause damage if someone ripped it back into place, honestly trying to help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81902-to-fold-or-not-to-fold/#findComment-1489861 Share on other sites
4door_Sleeper
No need to do it, I never park close enough to other cars. If someone could bump my mirrors they could bump my doors (THATS NOT ON). I tend to park in 2 carparks at a time and wait in the car whilst the wife goes in to get whatever at the shops.
