Ditto. The 25G, S1 RS4 and 33GTST pads are all different. I have some of the shims but not all. Let me know how you get on trawling the wreckers and if you are going ebay.

Would 300ZX fit R33GTST 4 pots? And I guess i will need a set for the RS4 stock 2 pots.

Any pad that fits a Sumitomo 4 pot caliper will be suitable; that also includes 200SX, Subaru, etc.

Thanks heaps for that^

Its the search criteria that was getting me, I was trying things like "squeal+plate" etc with no result.

"Brake shim kit" wins.

I have not a single item installed in that picture.

Never mind.

If my wrecker trawl fails I will just get a set in from the US like shown.

Thanks again.

No drama; it might even be worth pricing them through Nissan in Australia, you never know what the prices are like.

I've seen wreckers try to charge through the roof for those parts; and I'm sure they remove them just so they can take two bites.:spank:

Regarding the R34 4 piston caliper squeal plates/pad shims.

I found a part number through searching a bit further (silvia.com i think had a thread) and rang Nissan Rockingham.

So the part number I got was 41080 - 21U25.

The price was something like $180, to be honest I tuned out once the kid said one hund....

The guy on the phone couldn't explain adequately what the kit contained so I may have been getting more than i asked.

Dont know if it would be worth trying other nissan dealers.

Anyone have any confirmation on the part number above and whether the price is legit?

Also this was found in the thread..

That pic is the goods. The set is listed as 41080K, GC Nissan quoted $169 ex Japan

Import Monster may be better if we can order a few sets.

This set off Ebay is starting to look pretty good now huh?

cheers for the link mate

TBH I think they are a good buy at the price they are. Going to (eventually) buy a set for my Stags front R32 sumitomos

Well I am going to get some. If any one wants a set about $60 will cover purchase and post. Let me know ASAP.

The link that I posted will get them in your hand for $49.38 rolleyes.gif And that's without combining postage for multiple purchases.

Just sayin'

  • 2 weeks later...

i used standard R34 GTT lines all round. but better to get braided front. rears are fine to bolt up. as for BMC its the Same as the R33/R34 cusco do one for the Stagea. there is a picture in the mod thread on here.

Hey guys.

Seriously long thread you got here. was skimming trough the pages and what i could see, The FRONT pads for a S1 is the same as for an Maxima -2000 right?

this is what i found at ebay:

Stagea s1 pads: greenstuff pads

Oem pads

Maxima qx a33 v6 24v -2000:

Oem nissan pads

brembo pads

they seem to be the same?

note: i didnt find the maxima brakes at first, but then i realised i was on the au ebay, not the uk one. maybe the pads are different on european models?

Edit: if you scroll down on the brembo ones it looks like they match the oem pads, measures are the same.

have anyone got the measurements for the stagea brakes? havent take mine off yet but will do this weekend.

/cheers from Sweden

    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
