yeah, thats what i was thinking, there could be a problem with the map in it..

No doubt your tune is saved so why dont you just try putting another base tune on it to get it fired up???

UPDATES FOR ME: 1/4 window fitted thanks to Matt @ Highway Crash Repairs, new oil cooler core purchased (thanks JUST JAP) and on its way so all thats left is a Z32, install new SABER gauges (thanks to FLYNN PERFORMANCE) and coils (thanks BENSON MOTORSPORTS) and its ready for a tune :P

Oh and new set of Proxes 4's ordered (thanks to Hamish @ REVOLUTION)

Fresh(er) RB20DET (from R32) fitted, GT-R injectors, AFM and Nistune...injector o-rings leaking so back apart to fix those, blanked off knackered cold start regulator. Need to get wideband on to start tuning it as currently it just idles at about 2500rpm and dies when you touch the throttle.

Also chucked in 3" split dump/front pipe, all redtop covers on silvertop RB20, ISC 10/8kg S13 coilovers, 17x9/17x10 meisters and waiting on my rotors to be redrilled so I can chuck my R33 4 pots on the front. 11 row greddy-copy oil cooler kit to go on.

Still need a shifter as mine went walkabout while the car was stored at a certain workshop which is now defunct...

Also yet to order front mount and new front bar, but will be soon.

33 - had a flat yesterday and who knows where the locking key has gone... vice grips to the rescue!

rx7 - the dust is growing thicker by the day, but paul is now back from japan so hopefully we'll have an engine ready for it soon

lancer - coming together, just need a clutch, some more white paint and time to keep swapping parts from shell to shell!

Waiting on a brake seal kit and a clutch line to get my car regoed.

Something else is bound to go wrong as everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, but its practically a new car now as ive replaced nearly every nut and bolt in it!

Picked up the 32 this morning after getting the 1/4 window fitted. It will do for now but cant say im impressed with the finished job so once the car is tuned it will be going somewhere else to be done again.

I just pray that it doesn't break :D

  • 2 weeks later...

well finaly got my hands on hold of a R34 PFC and some split fires, getting 040 on pay day as well, on the look for a boost controller duel stage or EBC, then to hobart for tune and finally get the body kit fitted

I had Sam (Dr Drift) tune my car on his dyno the week before power cruise.

So I'm now running a fully tuned PowerFC with optional boost controller, Z32, Splitfire Coil packs, 550cc Injectors and a HKS GT-RS :D Cant wait for the weather to get cool for some more ponies!

I'm also running no front bar due to an incident with a guard rail in the wet :D:down:

Jase, got a link to this ECU?? I read a bit about it in the Stag section but still vague on it. And is yours a S1 or S2? We have $2.7k coming from Uncle Kev soon..... Might be an option for, ummmm, fuel economy? :D

Cheers, Greg.

Looks great Ian, i hope you keep this one for a little while and enjoy :(

My car is ready/waiting to be tuned so hopefully i can sell it soon so i can start my new project....

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
