Clearly your confusing our banks with another countries, they said "She'll be right, mate" The IT department is undergoing re-structure so everyone is edgy, I'm a consultant there so I should not be effected from what I can tell However my company has cut ~80 jobs so far from its 1280 person workforce, I think more cuts may be occurring now as they tighten things up...
-
Yes they probably released a new model, but I'm not spending >$330 Pics will be interesting because they are not keeping there website up-to-date with pics or info
-
Interesting, had a quick look on the website and found it as ~$540 as you mentioned and supporting 1 tonne but that was it, no more info. This old post, which does appear to the be the pictures of snap-on jacks we had earlier claim its most likely a re-branded Torin jack: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/688353 Probably this one: http://www.torinjacks.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductId=10 In the end I bought: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1-5-TON-ALUMINIUM-R...%3A1|240%3A1318 Which appears to be the Torin 2 tonne low profile jack: http://www.torinjacks.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17 Its not super low or super long, but its good enough, and its $330 with dual pump / dual piston design so I'm happy. If you do search on ebay use the part number, and ensure you tick the "search description" button, the seller seems to list one every couple of weeks.... Probably not the ultimate jack but its reasonably priced and is ~82mm off the ground with some length (>70cm's ). And its 23kg so fairly lightweight. Thanks, Gareth

Hot water helps, but trying to get the hot water anywhere near the fuel hose if you have aftermarket parts near the fuel filter make it hard. Trying to get the hose off takes forever if it hasn't been done for a long time

Pop the bonnet, and keep looking Not sure how to describe it in words, drivers side near the strut tower on my R33, a little closer to the brake fluid reservoir....

Brake Cylinder Stopper $70 (plus Delivery) March 2009
some_cs_student replied to wolverine's topic in Group Buys
Interested, can I buy anytime during March? Or does it have to be soon? The group buy does say open till the 31st March just want to confirm its not limited stock or similar...or price changes in 2 weeks -
Pretty sure the "blacklist" is real, its a mark against your rego info when your looked up on a police computer. A hoon database wouldn't surprise me...have never heard of it before but you don't exactly get to see what the police store on you too often.

Lol, or you could start deadlifting, once you reach 200kg you should be right for lower back strength Good luck with it, I've had to go through something chronic as well over the past 14months and the medical bills kill you, most of it is medicare covered but out of pocket is adding up, make sure your level of private health cover is appropriate, and be warned that different health insurance companies pay very different amounts on the same claims.

SEARCH its in the stickies, its been asked before. EDIT: gearbox uses more than 3.5litre for an GTR not 100% sure about other mdoels..

Are your referring to Alexandra avenue area? Or somewhere else? -
Out of curiosity does anyone use supplements to help reduce inflammation or pain? Omega 3 can help, as does green tea, and I'm referring to 4 tablets a day or more for Omega 3 to do anything, this can help reduce inflammation I also use Glucosamine & Chondroitin (combined), can be bought cheaply from vitaminme.com.au looks for the "Thompsons" brand. This helps with any joint pain, its mostly eliminated the issues I had with knee pain, its said to help rebuild cartilage.

Fuel Pump Prob - Which Fuse/which Relay?
some_cs_student replied to Daved's topic in General Maintenance
Also check the fuel pump ground, I had an issue where the fuel pump was fine but the factory ground just stopped working one day. Grounding directly to the chassis worked fine....(and the thread I posted seem to show its a common mod) -
There are many ways to build core/lower back and upper back but if he's got serious problems with inflammation he may need to sort that out first...

What kind of back pain? There are several types, there is the chronic back pain / inflammation, a co-worker disappears for months where he cannot do anything, hardly even gets out of bed without a lot of pain. Then there is the bad posture/seating position back pain, I have the latter and not stretching / bad seating positions are often the cause, also I go to the gym a lot so that can make it worse. There is a good physio called "Muscle needs massage" he may be able to help, his prices are reasonable too.

The vicroads standards state: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/RulesS...rdsInformation/ http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyre...8340/0/VSI8.pdf "The width of any replacement rim must not be: more than 25mm greater than the widest wheel specified by the vehicle manufacturer for that model or vehicle series." Sounds pretty open, but 8inch wide sounds fine, you could even go 9inch wide since a GTR had 8inch rims...(I think) "The overall diameter of any replacement rim and tyre must not be: more than 15mm greater than largest diameter tyre specified by the vehicle manufacturer for that model or vehicle series." And same as above for 15mm less... Track increase is, from http://www.toyo.com.au/TechInfoPDFs/Altern...Regulations.pdf "WHEEL TRACK The maximum allowable wheel track increase is: * 25mm for a front axle or rear axles with independent suspension, * 50mm for other rear axle types, * Zero for front-wheel-drive vehicles with McPherson struts and negative scrub-radius steering geometry or a diagonally split braking system. "

Anthony which product name did you buy? I've looked online and the "low" jack for Bluepoint is the cheap one posted above, but its priced at $500 or something crazy. Did you pay more $$$ for a super low version or something?

Bunch Of Questions :)
some_cs_student replied to Luckieee's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
If it was the best everyone would use it. Its good, but which redline gear oil? You might be referring to lightweight shockproof which is commonly used on gearboxes having issues... Sounds the same Measure your exhaust's height off the ground, if <10cm it is illegal in Vic, raise it until the lowest point of your car is above 10cm. Illegal to be turned on without fog, please remove your fog lights if you feel the need to turn them on for attention. AFAIK no. See oil thread, there are choices. If your rich, Motul 300V 0, in my opinion, it will change the response though. It sounds like you already have a gearbox issue, can you rev it a little or wait to let the synchro match? Or be more careful with the clutch? If not start saving some $$$ And start searching the forum, 1/2 of your questions have already been answered in the past!!! -
I spent the first 3-4months of my ADSL connection troubleshooting line problems with TPG/Telstra, Telstra eventually came by and found the issue was with the old line to the house and replaced it (even though there system couldn't detect it remotely). TPG's customer service is pretty bad, prices are good. And service is pretty good these days, downtime is rare (unlike 4 years ago where it was common to be down for significant amounts of time)
