  1. Someone widened them, idk why. It looks worse in person, ruins the lines of the car. It seems like way too much work even as is, i've been offered 1250 for it and i took it because it needs a lot of work and the bloke who's bought it owns GTRs so he should be able to get it fixed and on the road/track again. He will take me for a drive in it when hes got it up and running so thats a plus for me if he remembers. But after you saying the 34 is nicer/newer i'll probably aim for a clean 34 tbh. I was looking for an easy project but I was in over my head after really thinking about it, i'll be aiming for a driving car that's stock or close to stock next time, I really wanted a car thats clean, stock and runs well that I can throw mods at instead of repairs.
  2. Hi guys, In need of some expert/experienced opinions, It's a 1990 r32 gts4 that I purchased, I have liked skylines for a long time now and decided it was time to buy one, I was in over my head when I purchased this. What should I do? I've been offered 1k for it, i think i might try to get him up a bit but it won't get anything past 2k on a good day. Passion has gone and no where permanent to store it until I can give a shit again. It's killed my enthusiasm for cool/fast cars. Problems: no driveline no interior no diff full respray would be needed rust piece near rear window Has a piece of metal overlapping a part of the frame which looks dodgy paid too much for it, needs almost everything replaced If I do get another skyline I'll be hunting for a perfect condition one from a SAU member. Pics attached.
  3. 1000hp is stupid, especially on the street. Aim for around 300-400hp with big torque. with 1000hp you'll be spinning tires for days and not having any traction until maybe 5th gear. I would go for a 25neo with a hypergear turbo instead of going for 1000hp straight away.
  4. Makes me want to get rid of my 32 lol, Even for a series 2 33 or 34. After owning a 32 it feels so dated and not in a good way like a 70s ford or holden feels. I think a 33 or 34 would suit my needs, AWD seems like a waste of time for me as well. I am only wanting to cruise/go after PBs on the track, not to break records, etc. I'm also now very used to driving/owning a modern car so some things from the 32 are pretty disappointing to me anyways, 33 or 34 might be a better choice tbh.
  5. so it got delivered today. idk what to say lol. I'm at a loss, either cut my losses or keep going deeper. idk what to do.
  6. Sounds good then, Just an off topic question. Do you know any wreckers that would sell skyline parts in SA?
  7. I'd make some sort of lock for that drain too because if that opens it'll be pretty shitty.
  8. Read both your r32 and r34 threads, Loved the both. Which one model do you like/prefer more? R32 or R34?
  9. Would prefer it to be in SA for ease of delivery but willing to look outside of SA. Looking for a stagea engine, wiring, ecu 5MT if you have also Let me know what you have.
  10. Make him drop the price for the rooted rb20, you'll most likely want to put in an RB25 in the future.
  11. Buy it anyways, 2k is a good deal for a running skyline. It would be a fairly reliable car since its NA but an econobox from 2010+ will be faster, more efficient, etc.
  12. Hi guys, Just got an r32 gts4 rolling shell and was wondering how hard it is to source an rb25 in 4wd variant? I've been looking for a few weeks and I've only found one engine and it's in QLD, im assuming this will cost thousands to ship to SA. Does anyone know a place where they wreck stageas in SA or anyone selling a 4wd rb25? or would it be easier for me to convert it to RWD, slam in an rb25 and drive it until i can source an rb25 4wd block or have enough money to build an rb2530 and use an adapter plate?
