That car had the ej207 engine in it and was a lot of fun, high reving smooth power delivery. the ej257 is known to be weaker but I have seen plenty making 285kw at the wheels on e85 with unopened engines. Everything I’ve heard is the semi closed (257) engine is good for 300kw before needing to close the deck, with pistons and rods always being recommended

And I can tell you from experience this morning, the stuff smells like rocket fuel and you get high just from filling the car up

Everyone, Japan don’t have pump 98ron they have 100ron. All performance cars in Japan are tuned to use it and the reason why once the cars are imported to Australia the engines blow up

He’s using an aftermarket power steering pump on the car and I’m yet to see one that doesn’t have that issue, maybe he should have used an electric power steering pump because it also doesn’t allow him to fit the second fan supplied by hypertune

In Japan they have the ej20 with a twin scroll turbo on them, bit doughy under 2k but after that it’s very lively

The turbos don’t work, there has been quite a few people who have tried putting gtx turbos into the original housings and they end up very laggy and don’t make any where near the power they are expect to. You need a 9L extended sump with baffles or it will surge and with the big pump probably empty it out at high revs The rear head drain is a must the fuel pump and injectors are to small go the elite 2500 with plug in adapter and fit oil and fuel pressure sensors in it to use for engine protection what fuel do you intend on running?

If the car has a blue slip, get a green slip, a ppsr and take all 3 to service nsw. pay rego and transfer fee and they will supply you with a new set of plates. Then do skid and post video

Started getting the wiring inside the car routed and connected and also putting the interior back together. I decided to fit a key pad to control things like boost level, rolling anti lag and launch control on/off, there will probably be other things I’ll find for the other buttons the interior is now looking more complete then it has in a long time and the gear position, strain gauge and eboost2 now work, I also connected the reverse lights through the pdm and they work when required. The pdm and ecu are both mounted and the can cables are connected back to the ecu

only gtr I’ve seen was a 34 that was completely stripped on the back of a tow truck, I think it was being restored
