If Tao from Hypergear can swap out multiple manifolds, turbos and dyno on the same day, these guys can easily do it too.

Ross Power Steering Idler Kit
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Dose Pipe Sutututu's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Let's see if it actually does anything! Another option is to just decrease my limiter but that also means I would need to grab 5th gear down the straight, not too keen on that. I like to kiss the limiter in 4th and be ready to coast then ease on the brakes. -
15% from stock, with more boost and timing.

PonieBoi R32 Sedan Build

OEM+ If you need ways to waste money, I can help recommend a few things lol -
I need, as Andrew Hawkins calls it, "A Western Sydney mode". Just need to install an exhaust cut straight after the dump/down pipe. Then pop up a few tiktok and snap chat videos then it should sell right? If not try one of the 25 raffle businesses out there 😂 I'll see how the Ross PS idler kit goes, it should arrive by the end of the week. I suspect running a shorter belt "may" work, however having an idler pushed against the belt would definitely aid in keeping the belt on. I know for a fact it's high RPM related and not balancer related as it was happening before with the old motor at skid pans when I manged the limiter, albeit was only at 8000rpm back then. If all else fails, electric power steering it is. Which also means beefing up the electrical system too. At this point I really should just get a better car instead of slapping more bandaids.

It does mention grout filled blocks, so maybe it's applicable to those setups? Plenty of SAU guys race their cars from grassroots motorsports (me) all the way to competition level ( @Duncan @34GeeTeeTee etc.) and we all don't have issues with water cooling or flow, it's more so keeping oil temps within its working parameters.
-
It's the mounting, and making hose part that is giving me anxiety lol. Sure, I plumbed my fuel and oil system myself but yeah nah I'm done with doing shit now.

Man the thought of implementing it scares me, I have no time these days and no space to take on such projects. Also not keen on getting a shop to do it because they would charge too much.

Just had a look, very cool. They probably don't announce it so they don't draw a crowd. Makes filming and risk management much easier. Meanwhile, donating more money to the car gods. Some donate to charities, some donate to churches, some to pokies, I donate to car gods.

You have a 4 rib PS belt, for whatever reason they threw the intern to design the R33 RB25DET PS and he/she thought a 3 rib belt would have been great on the R33 RB25DET. They probably realised it was a bad idea, a generation later they went back to a 4 rib.

I need to buy that BMW, first just need to offload this shit box. Funny how Nissan went from a 4 rib to a 3 rib then back to a 4 rib belt power steering belt throughout the shit box RB era. I suppose revving the car 2700rpm past its intended rev limiter doesn't help either LOL.

RB shit box curse. Don't see JZs with this problem. Just waiting on the Ross PS idler kit to come, hopefully a good bandaid. I hate this car, literally drive the heap of shit once a month and of course once a month something breaks, albeit small. #90sJDMshitbox
