  1. Some info that might be handy... Our 2530's used to choof like a steam train...Jim at Croydon's completely tuned it out. We had both the inlet pipes balanced after the AFM's...obviously not your problem. We switched to GT-RS's and it was back...bigger and badder than ever...we fitted a set of HKS balance pipe manifolds and it completely disappeared. What turbo's are you running?
  2. Johno did you realise your crank has been modified? The counterweights have recieved a bit of attention. When balanced it was spot on, the balancer seems to think it was done in Japan as he was suitably impressed with the workmanship and precision. Unsure of what had exactly been done as im getting this info 2nd hand off my machinist. Will speak directly to balancer Monday and find out more info for you.
  3. Update...block and head are at the machine shop (my machinist is still in shock from when i told him to give a fresh N1 block a 40thou overbore) The block will be bored, honed and relieved. The head is getting a Stage 2 port job and overhauled with new guides, seals and Tomei buckets. The reciprocating components are off to Sydney to be balanced.
  4. with all due respect, cheeky comments like the one i made have no place in other peoples threads, no matter how much substance is behind it. Hopefully this is the last time it is mentioned.
  5. Damn...your winning...now which lounge cushion is that 20cents under.
  6. our car easily made 450AWKW at all fours on BP98 @ 20psi with GT-RS's. 2.6ltr as well and was only ran in the day before this dyno run. Not as responsive as Racepace's much touted RB29 but with your extra capacity i think you would go the 'pepsi challenge' with it. Our car also made around 470AWKW at all fours on 25psi and over 500AWKW on Sunoco fuel. Look at the mid-range difference...thats where you RPM rage will be on the circuit. GT-RS's are a great turbo choice for your application...what tracks will you be racing on? link to thread.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb....html&st=40
  7. Dave called me today...he sounded like a 16 year old ringing his best mate to tell him he just fu(ked the hottest chick in school. He drove it and is a very excited lad!
  8. cool...hopefully its all sorted now. Your comments have been helpful and taken on board...cheers BTW Bu5ter gave me a warning some time ago...because Blitz and i were having a joke about banning me...please remove this.
  9. Didn't think i need to as three of the moderators...two of them are reading this now have read what im talking about.
  10. I was just a bit put off when a certain 'mod' on here was very hasty to pull me into line after i got sick and tired of being prodded by a certain workshop owner with a little help from the mod as well. I give a detailed description of how this character has treated myself and others through our unfortunate dealings with him, and im warned...ok fair enough...i crossed the line as far as the forum rules go...ok...but this character continues to badger me and CLEARLY makes unsubstanciated and false allegations about my business and workmanship and continues to do so. Even after i twice make an effort to apoligise and move on. There seems to be the favorites on here....bit of a double standard really....just be consistent guys.
  11. mine doesn't either BNR32 300885
  12. whack a fresh set of plugs in it and it might crack 600hp.
  13. Ive copped 2 warnings for exactly that...but the person/workshop in question is still throwing mud at me and our business...go figure?
  14. Ive done that too...no power steering...ahh look...not a drop of oil in the system...oops!
  15. Dave is going to make you up some Red R decals if you like ...on the house! what do you want...same as Superlap car 1/4 windows and one for the timing cover?
  16. x3 for big singles...
  17. Clearances are a little different to whats recommended. It will be nice and quiet with very little blow-by.
  18. MarkoR1 did a great 60'....ill let him tell the rest.
  19. We trade under a PTY LTD as its been one that we have had registered for quite some time. There is 4 of us if you must know...Kel is our licensed engine reconditioner...Glen is our licensed Motor Vehicle repairer (he used to work for your "good mate" Brad at the Toy Shop, a bloke who no longer wants any business dealings with you) David is our signwriter and extra pair of hands (another bloke who no longer wants anything to do with you) and myself. No im not a moderator as i have no shiny green coloured bar saying 'moderator' under my name. Give it a rest John...if an apoligy is not good enough and your not man enough to accept it and move on then so be it, if thats the way you want to be. You throw plenty of dirt yourself so maybe you should start to practice what you are preaching.
  20. Hey the drag racing 'smack talk' threads are some of the most light hearted and amusing on here. You roundy roundy boys are always in reading them. But yes personal insults are a bit low and feel a tad of regret for stooping that low. Sorry again JP Where were you Roy? I was still hard charging after 3 am Saturday night....and that was with next to no sleep Friday night. Bit hard to have a big night when your almost staying in the outback.
  21. Ahh just giving him a little poke, maybe that one was a little hard...but, he seems to like it...as he returns the favor from time to time. delete it if you like But c'mon..Farlap?...its something every naturalised Australian should know (i think its even in the citizenship test) Apoligies JP...was indeed a bit below the belt having a dig at your choice of career's...'im extending an olive branch to you' BTW John, my business partner is a Licenced Automotive Repairer and Engine Reconditioner and is registered with the Motor Traders Association. Defamatory remarks about my business on this forum is against the forum rules and moderators will issue you with a warning for such behaviour....if they are consistent. So be careful.
  22. Its Pharlap...which means lightning in Thai....but what level of education does a failed cop/used car salesman need?
