    Car makes a bit over 330rwkw on 22psi on e85 - R34 with 86ks and healthy comp. Has all the usual supporting mods, big exhaust, cam gears, twin turbo pipe mod, Haltech etc. Was considering bumping boost to 25-26psi or so for a little bit more punch, but don't know enough about how to read comp graphs to tell if there's any point. My reading of this implies that more boost won't actually equate to much additional air flow? Is that correct? Have also heard about heads being lifted at this boost, is there any truth to that and what are the symptoms? coolant in the cylinders/oil or vice versa? I can put ARP studs in if necessary. For what it's worth, car runs very cool with oil cooler and vented bonnet and guards, oil and water temps are always very stable. I haven't seen above 85 or so deg water/oil temp and 650 deg EGT with spirited driving through the hills. Intake temps are good also. Was also contemplating switching to those 65mm K&N pods that bolt directly onto the AFMs and running an enclosure, possibly modded to allow me to retain snorkel. This is purely a rice mod for the noise and fun factor, but is there likely to be any power loss in the real world? I do have the vspec intake temp readout on the MFD.

    Touch screen has stopped working and I'm going back to single din. Remote and fascia buttons work fine. Head unit plays CD's, DVD's, USB and iPod (30pin connector). Reversing camera works and will come with the unit. Tilt mechanism works fine also. Could be an easy fix, could be useful for spares. Big double din isn't my style so it's already out. Pic was taken before I removed it. $75ono posted anywhere in Aus. Also on the lookout for a single din pocket to fit a 34, if you have one of those we can work something out - though I'm about to buy one so make it quick if you have one

    How'd you find the drive comparably? 4 tenths for car with less mods and less power is impressive. Especially given you don't know the car that well yet.

    Are these interchangeable? My GT-R has a mint condition skin on the lid, but the plastic hinge nad one of the legs is broken. Hard to find a GT-R console lid/frame so wondering if I can use the GT-T one?

    I don't think you can shit can an entire engine because of the turbos it uses. I don't think any of us are under any illusions that there's much newer/better tech. Had I went with my head, I'd have bought an Evo/M3 or a 35 maybe. I think many of us buy older GT-Rs because the little boy inside us hasn't grown up yet. I like Evo's, but I don't get a mental boner when I look at them, even a nicely done one. I still grin like an autistic kid when I pull the cover of my 34. Who cares though, This thread is all about Evo 9 now, more boost plz

    That's a win. Can't say I'm unhappy with my Haltech though. Does the Evo ecu allow you to connect via USB, real time update it and data log whatever you want with free software?

    I really struggled to not buy an EvoX when I was buying the R, such a good package. I think plenty of us realise the Evo is a better platform in many ways, but there is something special about a GTR still. Yea i realise that's subjective also, for me it was almost purely looks. Thay said, I am toying with the idea of ditching my Silvia for an Evo track car... Anyway, this car is going to be awesome. Cbf scrolling back, when were you tracking it again? Also I didn't realise a stock Evo ecu did flex, that's amazing.
