  1. Duncan, do you have more info on the QuickJack? Where did you get it from, and do you have pics of it WITHOUT the car sitting on it? From your under car pics, clearance looks good for being in the middle, BUT, is there any supports going left to right to join each section?
  2. It's QLD, SAU QLD is basically dead. Has been for a long time.
  3. I want to know how you have acquired this skill. Do you not do any work or something?
  4. Damn people need heat in cold environments! I don't know how you guys deal with that cold, I've done a bunch of work on a car many years ago in Canberra in the middle of Winter, I could not do it again. I'm headed for Canberra again end of July actually, I'm not looking forward to that cold, and I believe you likely get colder than Canberra!!! Also, to save you needing to split the wood, buy a bigger fire place! As to reopening our borders, look, while COVID-19 happened, we had to all go for a vote, we told the other states it was for councils... Really we vote on Quexit, and it's going through, we're out! So pack your passports
  5. As I've said a few times mate, I really love this build! Done with heart, in the back of a shed, and so nice and neatly too! It'll be a ripper of a little unit when you get it complete very soon!
  6. Don't make us wait much longer on these updates... I'm worried about what the rest of June and start of August will bring for us!!!
  7. You sir, shall be dealt with, HARSHLY, out of the eyes of the public
  8. The real secret is, it's a lot further on in the build than the videos suggest... I filmed Episode 4 the other weekend... Hanging for some free time, and hopefully start filming Episode 5 this weekend, but it's going to be spread over two weekends Though I did resign from work, 2 more weeks and lots of spare time!
  9. Episode Two: https://youtu.be/gezUa7cDb9k
  10. Dont blame me... Yes I suck on camera... Episode One:
  11. From the new Supra just to really annoy people?
  12. All he wanted was the respect. To some that's more important than winning.
  13. Buy a 100/105 series cruiser. Will fit a kart piece of piss.
  14. Look at the curves. At peak power boost has dropped dramatically. Earlier in the piece though, there is a near 40rwkw gain across the mid range.
  15. That's all it is mate, practice, practice, practice. I'm only as "good" as I am as I spent 40 hours a week on a MIG for 3 months straight. And by 40 hours, that's actual time on the MIG, not just at work. And I'm not a good welder, I'm okay, not great. I have some inconsistencies. TIG, just lots of hours of practice and critique. I'd love to have a tig to actually do some alu work, but no money to buy a decent tig setup.
  16. Superbly neat welds! I only wish I could weld that neatly, though that's the benefit of TIG, wayyyyyyy more control. I'm a MIG boy, Ha ha, and my own is nastily setup as flux core which is worse! ?
  17. That's a very tidy exhaust job. I like it!
  18. That's what I thought may occur, as the oil is more spread thin, rather then being pumped around with no air gaps with the coolant...
  19. See, I've always wondered about the whole water bringing the oil up to temp. If you take a litre of oil, and a litre of water, and subject them to the same amount of heat energy, the oil ends up at a higher temperature. But then again, I'm assuming the water is subjected to more heat energy inside the block. For those of you with temp gauges, what is coming up to temp first, the oil or water temp? IMO though Duncan, you are 100% right that for motorsport, I'd be ditching it, and running a relocator + oil cooler.
  20. Those clean ones though are now demanding the same if not more than what I paid for mine back in 2006. Around 2011/2012 was the time to grab cheap R33 GtST where a nice one would come up for $5K
  21. Would love to go to TomorrowLand. Has always been a want but never mad either so far
  22. No such thing as cheap skylines any more
  23. I heard its living life on a farm, happily prancing around the fields, and eyeing off racing the neighbours paddock basher...
  24. I say go for it, do the boxes fail spectacularly? If so, can you out a light and a dash cam under the car? Wanna see that shit on vid. As mentioned, Mark may be old, be he ain't mature
  25. Hey @mlr Wasn't there something mentioned earlier about these things having a gearbox issue with more power?
