  1. meh, bit of artistic licence never hurt anyone... too much. lol "The delivery of the power took me completely by surprise and as i went up through 4th and 5th and into 6th, i was beginning to think i needed to show the car a bit more respect. I changed gears instinctively but the GTR drew me into reaching for the redline in each change" "Shifting up into 5th and then into 6th from around 80kph takes only a few seconds. I wasn't even 100% aware i was shifting at its 7000 rpm redline, thanks to the sensory overload going on infront of me," I must admit when I read those two passages I was a bit wtf?!? but didn't want to say anything lest I be accused of having it in for you. I don't care really. I don't doubt at all you drove it. and well done, you certainly beat me to it. but I'm not so convinced on the whole redlining the gears part of the story...
  2. well they are good enough to power pretty much every nissan ever made.
  3. fk I still love your car mate. so very sweet.
  4. bought the issue today. cool to see my silvia pic in there, and some good feedback too.
  5. okami on wii would be cool. it's one game that almost feels like it was made for wii.
  6. nice score! corporate box action can't be beat!
  7. plus the lower the profile, the higher the price
  8. pretty sure I have a fair few of it from 2006 I think it was (maybe 05). either way I probably didn't take enough as I was more interested in the Z-tune R34 which had just been released at the time. have a quick check in my photo diary thread. if not in there, I will try and find them over the weekend.
  9. cool! I'll have to grab the issue. which number was it?
  10. what? couldn't hold the chassis apart? dude the car does not fold up like a piece of paper without the strut brace. so why would it with a 'flexy' one? and I'll get in on that action too. whiteline, brownline, cusco, nismo, jizmo, whatever. as long as it bolts between the towers they all do the same job. the only differences to pick is between looks and price and weight.
  11. it does. in fact the only widely available 100RON pump fuel is an ethanol blend. V power racing.
  12. well said troy. I don't go to the F1 to enjoy a fine beverage. I go to the F1 to watch the F1, getting smashed is just incidental to that. not the main event. If I wanted to drink lots of fancy beer I'd be going to the fancy beer festival instead. so yeah, fosters is crap, but polishing a few off at the F1 with some mates is most enjoyable.
  13. I also have the same ones. very good shocks, but to be honest with 20 levels of bump and 30 of rebound totalling 600 different settings per shock you are in for a lot of time to get them set just right. or do the smart thing, when you get them take them to heasmans, get them on the shock dyno and have them give you a base starting point. oh, and I'm pretty sure they will be made in japan (personally I don't think it matters).
  14. that's the spirit Russ! run in is for wimps and warranty is for chumps. hell, your car will have an aftermarket ECU in it before it even leaves japan! and like I said the other night, we will probably all hit the limiter in first considering first gear is about 4:1 ratio! should be good for at least 40km in first.
  15. PS3 can output either to PAL or NTSC and nearly all TVs built in the last 10 years or so can accept both PAL and NTSC input anyway. should not be any problem. none of it has any problem with playing online. the only person who can see what screen you have online is you.
  16. lol, 5,000km run in? whoever told lcy that is having a laugh. by that measure it would take most owners about a year to get it run in. they are pretty much good to go from the factory but 500km or so is good practice before really giving it any boot. it reminds me of the rumour about needing engine teardown every 12 months...
  17. I can help. hope he's cheaper than the bloke that welded mine! mine was done in japan and cost a farken bomb. It's very important though that it's done right, right angle, etc. right penetration, no leaks. it's not very trickey, but it is very important that it's done spot on. so much so that my tuning house building the motor sub contracted out the welding to a specialist.
  18. yes, thanks I do know the difference between hydraulics and airbags. about 900 toyota soarers were fitted with hydraulic active suspension (very tricky stuff, so no sway bars, no springs, just big hydraulic rams and a big hydraulic pump all computer controlled to give nice ride, but super flat cornerning). there are plenty of air bag soarers though and they are all rubbish.
  19. meh, I have noticed some pumps out, but I just filled up the legacy GT the other day with 98 at mobil. thankfully it gets shitloads of kms to a tank and I drive fark all so it should be a while till it needs to be filled again. BUT when the GTR is in action is a whole other story.
  20. dood, I doubt the balance of your steering wheel is a problem. steering components, tie rods, suspension arms etc, tyres, wheel balance maybe. but no way would you be able to tell that your steering wheel is out of balance. centring has nothing to do with the steering wheel itself.
  21. plenty of cars with insurance are stolen. it's just that the owners don't usually want to air out their business on forums, and just let the police and the insurance company do their work knowing that they will either be getting their car back, or a cheque. my car was stolen about a year ago, but of course it was insured so I didn't really have a need to post any "FARK!!! HELP MY CAR IS STOLEN" threads.
  22. yeah if only being an obscure parts expert paid well I'd be set!
  23. very succintly put. there are a few people making front LCAs for R32s. ikeya springs to mind, but to be honest their arms don't impress me nearly as much as cusco ones. if cusco make a front LCA for R32 then buy that for sure. looks like I'll have to unweight the floor again briefly tonight. nagisa auto make them too.
  24. say what? how could you figure that out? steering wheel is out of balance? that's a new one!
